I voted $50 but I live in Australia so that's 1/2 price for a normal game here...

Re: How much is a fair price for Automation

the game over the month has averaged around 19 new members a day say if there will be about 3 months till realise so 90 days 90 multiply 19 is 1710 members plus the 846 already joined is 2556 times 20 usd is 51120 usd that the game would make

(so at 5 usd is 12780 / 10 usd is 25560 / 15 usd is 38340 /20 usd is 51120 / 30 is 76680 / 40 is 102240 / and 50 would be 127800 usd )

there's what he game can make from members if the current member joining rate keeps up

I don't think that the game will be released in 3 months.

Re: How much is a fair price for Automation

I'm expecting that the open demo will be released in this period, I'd rather say 12-18 months

Something along these lines, depends how well we do once we launch pre-orders

And along the same lines I would say this might be a reasonable estimate for the development... but it may be a bit too optimistic for incorporating play-testing and polishing! Those things always take longer than one would think/like :s

Re: How much is a fair price for Automation

well in the 10-18 month region this spreadsheet has a income prediction based on if all current members buy it and if joining members buy automation while joining on the current daily average (may include spelling errors as mathematics is my strong suite not English)

easily can change and not 100% of the income as people who haven't seen this site may still download but just to give a bit more insight as to what the fair price can be

Re: How much is a fair price for Automation

In all honesty, I think you would have trouble selling it to most people for anything over $15-$20 USD. Most of these sorts of indie type games are selling at this price point, so there is already an unofficial RRP for small-time ventures.

Yes, but the price should really be more about what the game is like not who the developers are, and a lot of those indie games are little casual games that are not hugely deep.

We're looking at more the kind of things Paradox Interactive does, for example Cities in Motion.

We've pretty much decided anyhow, its going to to be $20 for a pre-order, $30 when done
