Crashing all the time...

Crashing a lot here too. The game did not crash at all before the last update. Now it is crashing a lot, randomly, so it seems. I am running windows 8.1 , on a third gen icore7 with 16Mb. All drivers are up yo date. Intel HD 4000.

I'm also using windows 8.1 (x64)

I'm using an
ATI Radeon 3600 Series
With an Intel Core 2 or something , need to check that
its an X64 bit based system with windows 8.1 (its also me who uses it )
4 GB of RAM
using an Samsung 1 TB Hard Disk Drive

I am using:-

Windows 8.1 x86 (boot camped on an imac)
ATI Mobility HD 4670 (MS WDDM driver)
Intel Core 2 Duo E7600 (3.06GHz)

Crashes in the engine designer most, whilst dragging a slider to change something is the most common cause.

The car designer seems to be pretty stable, only had one crash in there.

Currently running in sandbox mode, not in a scenario.

Going only by this thread, it can either be blamed on Intel CPUs, windows 8.1, or some unknown factor, I reckon

I got an Nvidia Geforce GPU, 2nd Gen Intel Core i7 and it crashed only once in a week, when i set the topspeed to 460

Well I was on it for around an hour late last night/early hours of the morning, sometimes I cant sleep, and I managed to play around in the engine designer all that time without a problem. Its a strange one.


But today its playing hard ball. Tried it in a window and full screen. I also tried turning off my anti-virus just in case that was sticking its nose in.

Hello! I bought the game some days ago and after the 1194 build the game has crashed at some point when making an engine. It just says "automation stopped working", it happens every time i try to build an engine. Crash happens in random point, sometimes straight when i click "new engine" or when i adjust compression or testing the engine out.

My computer specs are AMD phenom II X2 555 BE, Club 3D radeon HD 5570, 6GB ram 1333MHz, normal SATA2 HDD with free space of more than 300 Gb's. Also i use Windows 8 (haven't updated to 8.1 yet).

The only common point is windows 8 or 8.1 but for it to be the cause of all this crashes would be odd. I've been using windows 8 and 8.1 with automation with no issue what so ever. Why now? What has changed?

Exactly what we're confused by.. We will install Windows 8.1 on a machine and do some tests!

Hope this helps even a little bit in troubleshooting: It happens to me always, no matter if i use lowest quality or highest & windowed/fullscreen!

my problem is fixed...
i just reinstalled windows completely ( win 8.1 )
and installed the game again and then the build was 1164 or something like that
but today i had an update to build 1194 and suddenly everything worked well now
i can build engine and cars without problems
does anyone else have this update ?

We put out an update (1196) which should fix most of the random crashing issues, yes!
