How about something a bit less one-dimensional? Build me the longest life 1000hp+ engine you can, for example.

5, as you can see in the picture, (quad cam 40 valve = 5 valves/cylinder).
That engine was made aiming to have max horsepower. I think that's the max hp you can get, but the engine has lousy torque.
Next let's try to make max torque engine. Post yours.
I managed to get that same HP rating from a Quattrovalve VVT/VVL set-up

FALSE!
1863 is the max hp
Re: Fastest Engine Made
So?
3 years ago the engine balance was totally different and we didn't have turbos.

Re: Fastest Engine Made
I'm too lazy to take a screenie, but I managed 3308bhp in the first V8 type. Didn't try the second type of V8 in automation but sometimes it will give a couple of extra bhp
Re: Fastest Engine Made
Little hint, for maximum power do NOT use aluminum heads, use cast iron and use the Flatplane V8. Also I am at 3328hp and 2506lb/ft (3397 metric newton thingies). The aluminum heads take off a few HP (about 20ish in this case). Also this was an old thread that got resurrected, as said these were done way before turbos came out.

Re: Fastest Engine Made
Three year mega bump! Why did you feel the need to post in such an old place? Also... clearly the guys didn't have turbos in 2012... now you can easily get over 3300hp
