The Fahrzeug Rock Bouncer will do decently in tackling rocks and dirt with the 4x4 and Manual Locking Differentials along with riding in luxury with Hand Made leather seats ('cuz why not). Ready for the 200 cm of ground clearance and the 5.8L V8 to hit the course!

Ooh, I did better than I thought.

I figure I might as well show my submission now: the Hammerhead

Had to cut a large hole into the hood to fit the engine in there, so it definitely won't be overheating

Woohoo, the rabid honeybadger strikes! First place is a really positive surprise, had some aspirations, but this went above and beyond. Thanks for a fun challenge, will post the car when I get home probably. Great competition, offroad is apparently my cup of tea :D

Re: KOH accepting entries (Times posted)

Going max turbo on the porkiest contender by far seems to have its disadvantages. Judging by the overall performance of the Phaedra Canyon over various competitions, it seems the lesson for next time there is bigger engine, and probably NA.

Re: KOH accepting entries (Times posted)

Yep the turbo'd engine gave a significant hit to the drivability, and the huge size hurt sportiness. Both were pretty important stats.

I am working on new calculations for the next go, but it may be awhile before I get all of the different parts ironed out. It will favor ground clearance and larger tires as well as several other factors such as how well your suspension flexes. Choices of materials will affect durability more and not just be based on average quality.
