I got 635KG with a -9 on panels. I think I'll win the lightweight award, but I only seat 2 :(

Also the extra weight in my car mainly comes from the engine. Also I haven't even told anybody about the LSD I snuck in there >_>

apparently, i just had to change my car up a little because it clearly was way to heavy for an entry level car.

Mmmhh... I don't really know what to expect... rules are not very clear in the evaluation side... I've taken the Eco version on the Zap.

Little update, work has been pretty demanding this week so I have not had a chance to go through the entries yet. That said I will be ending submissions at the stated time still, but I will allow a few more days following the deadline to review and take revisions of entries that did not meet the rules or that had loading issues. The results and writeup will follow at some point after that.

Okay I'm a little late but entries are now closed, I will be reviewing the cars when I can, results will follow.

Very good, now I eagerly look forward to finding out what the reviewer thinks when they discover their 'base level' entry is actually faster than a GTi...

I might have wandered into the dark side of mid-engined economy cars with this one...
Anyways, it's called the Lizzott Fiery. Contrary to what the name says, this car is Totally Not A Fiery Death Trap.
It also does very well at seating three people uncomfortably.

now the question is which GTI? i am actually nearly matching the 80s golf II GTI in engine size with my I4 turbo. speedwise it should be more in the range of a MkIII.

I reckon Birdie GTi ought to outrun a Mk3 GTi... though it may lose a couple of doors in the process

Thanks to having as much power and much less weight my car would slay the Mk.IV at the lights, if that spec sheet is anything to go by.

I reiterate, it does so at the high expense of panel build quality and interior trimmings!

Okay OP is updated with accepted entries and and those still pending. this got a lot bigger than i was expecting, I'm glad you all got a kick out of making cheap beaters but the results and write up will take longer than I thought based on the number of entries, sorry for the delay.
