Today's car challenge: sedans [Results]
Posted: Mon Dec 28, 2015 8:11 amThis challenge consists to make the best executive sedan (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executive_car), combining the best technology, security assistants, comfort, high quality interiors, engines with good fuel consumption and great responsiveness, design, and a bit of sportiveness. And practical.

- Note: You can't vote your own design.
The cars are numbered from 1 to 9 (in the center of the car preview you can see the number). Look all designs, and in the poll select your favourite car design (by car number).

The rules are this:
- -tech year and market year: 2016.
-No more than 300 total man hours (production units).
-Engine: except V12 (this is for the luxury cars, and isn't economical), all engine layouts, NA or turbo (or biturbo in the vee engines).
-Materials: anything except the limited production materials. (for frame, body and engine).
-Maximum market cost: $47.000 (Gasmea and medium 2 factory).
-Unleaded fuel, and max 98 octane.
-No CNC parts.
-Race intakes and exhaust forbidden.
-Sport tyres (quality slider set to 0).
-No downforce aero tray.
-4 or 5 body sedan (no wagons or hatchbacks please).
-Any Steam mods.
-Good design.
-Catalytic converter.
This is the scoring:
- -High importance - Reliability (50% engine reliability and 50% overall car reliability), running costs, price (comparing with all submitted cars), Comfort, Safety, design (with a survey), Fuel economy. [80%]
-Medium importance -Drivability, power and torque delivery (50% smoothness and 50% responsiveness). [15%]
-Low importance: sportiness (lap time in Tsukuba). [5%]

Colors code: Inspection OK, Pending to revise the car (by me), Doesn't accomplish the rules. Sent me now the car ONLY with the required corrections that I sent via PM..

- -The DSQ cars can be fixed, and sent me now before the 23:55 GMT +01:00 of 20/01/2015 (today)).
-Montes did not participe in this challenge for 2 reasons: because the car isn't completed, and I will make a challenge without my entry.
-I changed the test track (now Keiichi Tsuchiya san it will test the submitted cars in this track).
