WOW! I wasn't expecting such a good result from this bumper-lighted abomination! It honestly surprises me how an FF can still be so dang quick. If only i had more raw power to get a better top speed, my car was pretty underpowered compared to some deathtraps here, 610hp and 950kg.

Seriously. You're of the least powered here, but your car had of the best ability to actually utilize it. From what I saw, most cars were just empty frames with big-ass engines in them. Yours actually managed to get any reliable power to the floor. Great effort!

Ah, just about as I expected. At least I didn't stuff the van in a wall somewhere along the way. Probably could have used more power.

Cool challange!

I had fun making the car, though I forgot to submit my name to Vox in time! =D

It's Skyler. BTW

I decided to go almost totally for handling, going with a small 10k RPM engine as to reduce wheel spin out of the corners and launching. I'd be curious to know HP, weight, and cornering capabilities of all the contenders. But that's a lot of extra work for vox, so I won't ask. ;)

I look forward to the next one.

Heh, I'm pretty happy with how things went; 4th on all handling tracks and a sub-7:30 on Green Hell, I can live with that. I also went with a small flatplane V8, in this case 3.2 litres and 535 horsepower, although I suspect Carskick used a much higher downforce setting.

I'm actually really happy about that, considering I was mainly focusing on top speed (Only 0.6 mph off of BlastersPewPew but I had 200 hp less at 1540) I barely spent any time tuning the suspension. Anyways was a fun challenge. Thanks

Re: Ultimate FWD Challenge Episode 2! And the Results are in

Chipsake,

My engine was a 2.6L flatplane. 442HP @ 10K RPM, maxing at 10.5kk RPM. And no turbo

I did use front and rear lips, and I maxed out front downforce b/c FWD, but I didn't quite max out rear or overall. I actually messed up and forgot to extend my fenders, so 285mm was the largest tire I could get without redoing everything the body. (Can't wait for patch that will allow to redo body w/o redoing fixtures)

Happy it got 3rd on the tracks, though! I wonder what lowest HP car was?

Well, you're probably a good candidate, or at least on the lower end of the spectrum. And hooray for N/A! :D

Re: Ultimate FWD Challenge Episode 2! And the Results are in

Had 514 HP at 9000 RPM. Redline was 12k, inline 4. Was sure it wouldn't win, but I had fun with my no-compromises design.
