Re: Adapt or die [Judging]

So now we start on the cars that bring in the profit. What companies made enough leeway to build a fire breathing dragon of a sports car, or did they have to sacrifice fun to get their fuel economy up to the new requirements.

8 Nooneels Diana 0.77
Nothing says sporty like smoking the tires at 120mph

7 BlastersPewPew Mojave 0.78
Arguably the best all out sports car of the bunch... with a price tag to match.

6 Lordred 0.83
Suggested by service centers everywhere.... to keep them in business

5 Baxeg 1.03
Actually beats out VicVictory for most comfortable and the safest.

4 Zabhawkin Benchmark 1.06
Most prestigious doesn't mean best.

3 VicVictory 1.12
Not the best at anything, but good enough at all of them to make 3rd.

2 HighOctaineLove 1.19
Much like VicVictories... for less.

1 Elouda Mercury 412TS 1.73
Uses the same body as their family and economy versions, but with a sportier variant of their engine that still manages 75mpg US.
Technically the least capable but at nearly half of the price of most of the others in its market

Re: Adapt or die [Judging]

When you have a job to do, a trailer to pull, or just want a bit more than the average family car. Another profitable and highly contested category is the SUV.

8 Nooneels 0.84
Very posh, just don't ask it to do much

7 BlastersPewPew 0.94
Great capability followed by being the most expensive to own.

6 VicVictory 1.07
The second best capability and the third most expensive to own

5 Baxeg 1.103
Its cheap to buy...

4 Zabhawkin Benchmark 1.106
The steering wheel is just there for looks.

3 HighOctaineLove 1.164
Booooorrrriiiinnnnnnggggg.

Gets stuck in the mall parking lot.

"Ardent" and "expensive" don't go together. I call shenanigans!

Re: Adapt or die [Judging]

Last but not least the class where I thought money wouldn't be a deciding factor, but sometimes things surprise you.

8 Baxeg 1.69
The lowest drivability will keep you awake while the class leading comfort and lowest sportiness tries to put you to sleep

7 Benchmark 1.77
It will safely take you to the service center.

6 BlastersPewPew 1.87
The luxury car for you.... If money is no object

5 HighOctaineLove 1.96
The only car in this class to use the highest grade of fuel available.

4 Lordred 2.11
This car litterally is in the middle of the pack on almost everything.

3 Nooneels Mythos 2.41
Its actually the cheapest to drive of their entire lineup.

2 VicVictory 2.47
I got nothing for ya.

1 Elouda Luna 412TL 3.50
This car is in a class of its own...

Re: Adapt or die [Final Scores]

And now for the final evaluation and scores.

Cost of ownership dominated the contest more than I expected, but in most cases the winner of the catagory was nearly half of the average.

I bet I can do much better now that I know a bit more about building cars, price is a BIG factor in almost all these challenges.

My first ever entered contest resulted in a 3rd place (of 8) not bad.

Re: Adapt or die [Final scores posted]

I wouldn't feel bad Blasters, your cars tended to have the highest capability score before cost was factored in. As far as the final game would be concerned you were in a higher level market.

Oh I forgot about the new demographics coming out, yeah they would be decent premium cars then.

Re: Adapt or die [Final scores posted]

It would depend on how many people want this to come back, it was a lot of work on both ends. If I do I would use the in game scoring, but I think I would wait until the next big patch with all of its re-balancing.
