PIF Design Challenge [Green Group Thread]

Pay It Forward Design Challenge - Green Group

Good morning! You all were randomly selected for the "Green Group". I have randomized the play order. The last person on the list will issue the first challenge, to the first person on the list. When you post and issue the challenge, please also PM the person you are issuing the challenge to, letting them know it's ready. The person being challenged has 3 days to complete it. All are welcome to play all challenges, but if you are not being challenged, please do not post results or LUAs until after the player receiving he challenge either completes, gives up, or times out.

Make the challenges interesting, possibly something that might trip up your "victim", but also possible to do. Remember: if the group as a whole feels your challenge is impossible, you WILL be required to post a LUA proving it IS possible.

Good luck and have fun!

Re: PIF Design Challenge [Green Group Thread]

I will have something for you by tonight!

This are the kind of cars I build the most of.

EDIT: Except the 3.5/100km fuel consumption. I think I've built one car that was that efficient and it was more or less a shell with 2 seets and a high tech engine

Re: PIF Design Challenge [Green Group Thread]

Here is my car:

So, here is Tom's challenge:

It is 1975 and the sales of sporty cars in the US has been severely hit by the fuel crisis. It is your job to make your way around those circumstances, by coming up with a sporty, yet economical car, with emissions that are low enough for it to be able to be sold in California. It must also seat 4 in comfort and be safe, you don't want Nader to criticise your car, do you?

Limitations
  • Must use one of these bodies:
    Image
  • Year: 1975
  • Catalytic converter and emissions under 1400
  • Fuel economy better than 13 l/100km
  • Sportiness above 15
  • Safety above 45
  • 4 seats
  • Drivability above 45
  • Comfort above 25
  • Price under $8300
