This seems a little underorganized for my taste....

Or maybe I over did the ATCC, who knows...

I don't close this of one reason: You get a chance to flesh it out.

The rules are very vague -450k is a LOT... my best car costed 192k once... also how do you define a production car?
What will be done with those cars? To whom should i send them? File name?

Also... first you say small car, then you demand a sedan or wagon.

Instructions and rules not clear - stuck toe in camshaft.

Yeah, let's break it down into point form to provide a little guidance:

  • Must be based on a normal car like a small car , family car, or large car.Must be a sedan or wagon body style.
    • Please specify the size and number of seats.
    • Is there a minimum, or maximum wheelbase?
    • A minimum number of doors? I am assuming hatchbacks are not allowed.
  • Must weight 3,110 lbs [1,410 kg] or more. Ok!
  • Have 2WD and a 5.0 engine.
    • Is that 5000cc exactly, or 4950-5049cc, or what?
    • Number of cylinders?
    • Naturally aspirated or are turbo allowed (I suggest you disallow turbos for single displacement competitions because they will invariably divide the cars into two classes with completely different performances. I can get an NA v8 5L engine to 650hp + easy, but turbo that, and I could probably push 1500hp out of it... though of course, that would be ridiculous and I wouldn't do such a thing with a 2WD :P
    • Valvetrain limitations?
    • Type of fuel limitations?
    • Minimum reliability?
  • Cost less than $450,000 to make.- as pointed out, the "total cost" value in the testing section rarely exceeds 200K and even then the cars that have those budgets are ridiculous fast. You may wish to revise this budget downwards.
  • Bonus points if you make it a production model. 8-) I assume this means if you post on your company page?
  • Cars are due January 30th. OK!

Other things you need to specify are:
  • How many tracks, and, optional, which ones?
  • Scoring system (this can be clarified much closer to deadline depending on how many entries you get)
  • How the races are run, will it be based on lap time alone, or will it have an element of fuel economy, reliability, etc. etc.
  • How to submit (people generally do this by sending a pm with the .lua file, though you may wish to place restrictions on how they do this, otherwise you'll get flooded with disorganised PMs)
So yeah, lots of things to think about! That's not a comprehensive list I've left there, but that'll be enough to make a solid start.

We are just saying 450k is a bit much, I can build a fleet of cars for 450k

A 5.0 engine is not possible in any car except the biggest supercar, even a 4.5 engine.
So engine size will go down to the biggest you can put in your car.

You can put a 10.9L V8 in non-supercar bodies.
