Getting bored of building insanely brĂ¼tal engines for challenges? Then you'll have fun with this one.
The year is 1950, and you can only use hard 125mm tires. So better find a good compromise for your vehicle, as 400hp won't help you.
:)

The Rules:
Year: 1950
Body: No Wings/Lips
Engine: Reliability >= 30.0
Car: avg Reliability >= 60.0
Car: 125mm 12" Hard Long Life Road Tires - Quality 0
Car: Total Cost 6000
Everything else is open!

The Race:
Will happen in the infamous Green Hell on 5th of October 2014
Deadline for car entries is on 5th of October 2014, 11:00am CET

How to submit your cars:
- name your car "1950 - username - carname"
- send me that model file over PM, and write your Laptime into the PM
- first PM counts, no revisions or second cars allowed

After the race, you will be able to download the Top-3 cars.

If you have questions, ask them in this thread. :)

Oh look at the time, it's burnout o' clock.

Seems like an interesting challenge although options are limited :P

Znopresk tests are finished on the SPA circuit in Belgium.
Here a photo of the experimental car loosely based on the Z847 platform.

Soon the car will reach the Nurbingring to compete with all the others.

Thanks ;) Unfortunatly the resolution of the car wasn't high enough... lesson learned for the next time.

Well, back in the '50s they had really shitty resolution digital cameras! xD

After looking at this several times, the challenge of trying to make a car that the tyres could handle was too appealing to resist. And very well balanced, too!

In honour of the memory of legendary Australian driver Jack Brabham, who passed away earlier this year, I'll be entering a 1950 Morris Minor racing edition that will go around Nordschleife faster than my 2014 Civic (and Sabine's Ford Transit Van...), hell, I think it's actually all around faster than my '14 Civic except maybe under brakes...
