Welcome,

To the second season of the International Racing Championship.
This is a track racing competition, that will be held over 7 races in 7 days. The winner gets the awesome title of "Inrac October Champion 2014"
After a really exciting competition last month, we are now back for more.
This seasons rules and guidelines have changed quite a bit from the last time and are more open now.

How to compete enter this competition:
1. Build the best racecar you can, but be sure to stay within the limits
2. Send the car in via pm.
3. Wait for the races

Please send the files like this:
Your name and company name
Name of your car and engine used
file name: october-your name

NEW Entry deadline is the 14th of October, at 11:59:59.99 (UTC + 1:00). The races will be held from the 15th to the 22nd.

The rules

- All chassis structures, car bodies, materials and technologies are available and legal in this competition
- All tech years must be 2014
- The total cost must not exceed 75000 $

Engine rules
- Maximum displacement for n/a engines is 7500cc
- Maximum displacement for turbocharged engines is 4412cc
- Power limit at 1000hp

Car rules
- Headlights, foglights and rear lights are required

This seasons tracks will be 15-20km long and inspired by tracks like circuit de la Sarthe. So accelleration and top speed is just as important as cornering abilities and decelleration.
If you are able to improve the suspension or gearing in your car, you are allowed to send me a message with these changes and i will apply them to your car for the next race.

Well then, let the engineering begin.

the rules should be something fun or plain crazy, like must have 1000hp and have RWD with tires not wider then 205mm

I always take a second look when somebody says racing... for me, it's a matter of whether the rules are unhinged enough that I can stretch my legs!

Hi,
nice to see that you´re interested.

The rules are inspired by real-world rules. I already finished the rules regarding the engine. It´s a 20-point list.
If the rules are too loose, i will make them harder for the next season, be sure ^^

There will be only one racing class for now, but if the interest is there, i´ll be happy to create new series with your help and suggestions.

Sounds like fun, but you should include all of that info in the original post so finding it will be easier.

Also, are you sure you mean mid-longitudinal? Or mid-transverse? Because mid-long is incredibly limiting on engines.

It is? I've put a 7.0L V8 mid-longitudinal because it wouldn't fit transverse.

Well, maybe it's changed now. When the open beta was running, I had a hell of a time fitting anything into the mid-engine bodies. Or, maybe I was fitting them transverse? Pretty sure it was longitudinal though.

Or maybe you weren't using the large mid-engine body?

Are the engine rules you have in place, the minimum or maximum allowable for entry?

AFAIK there were a couple of issues with the mid long engine placement and drivetrain (particularly in AWD) which weren't cleared up until the end of open beta. That shouldn't be the case anymore though!
