Hello AirJordan and welcome to the community :D Image
The at leats 80 in one demographic part means that the production car you make, should have 80 or more competitiveness (the trophy value) in any of the demographics (the squares with names like fam. sport, track P, C. sport...). You should see the demographics in the last tab, where it says markets.
In the picture above, you can see that this example car has 80+ in Fam.Sport P., Muscle P., Track P. and Sport.

That will be your production car, then you make a new trim and you tune that to be your race car. I hope I explained myself :).

Here's the spreadsheet with an example and a blank spreadhseet, so you could check the formulas I used:

Note: You must use Excel or other software that allows you to use iterative calculation. If you're going to use excel, go to >office logo >Excel options >formulas >enable iterative calculation >maximum iterations: 1.

Can you make this available as a .zip file? I can't open it as a .rar file.

Great, thanks Sillyworld!

Yes, I just need to update the spreadsheet first, just some minor changes and then I will upload it as a zip file.

AirJordan wrote:...ough that maximum bhp per kg is killing me...

why? is to high? Actually I'm not good designing engines, and is quite difficult for me to reach that high output for the AGTE class.

The 0.55 value is somewhat based on the FIA WEC rules. I read somewhere (but I can't find the source) that the power for the LMP2 and AGTE was limited to 495 hp, the minimum weight for the LMP2 is 900kg. So, 495hp / 900kg = 0.55 hpkg. I think is a good value and make all the classes competitive to each other, unlike real life, where AGTE cars are much slower than LMP1 and LMP2.

Re: Automation Motorsport World Endurance [ENTRIES OPEN]

In actual fact this doesn't surprise me. The AGTE regulations are in fact a bit less restrictive than the AP classes.

* Notably, no VVL allowed in the AP class, which means a fair bit of fuel economy lost. I could run about 13.5L/100km with VVT alone, but with VVT and VVL that can be as good as 11.3L, and that's in a 1245kg car with 684bhp (the maximum power to weight ratio).

* Also, if one goes lighter, it's faster around the corners and is more fuel efficient, sure, but also has a lower top speed due to drag, which is important in Nordschleife and La Sarthe to name two.

Thus, while I would normally expect not to be that competitive with a GT car, I feel there's a good chance my car could upset quite a few AP competitors!

* i use 5 valves. so no VVL for me. just because it's much heavier= worse weight balance for the car.

*i went quite a bit over the limit. im pretty close to hitting 1300, but the AFR im using are still leaner than 14.0:1

Re: Automation Motorsport World Endurance [ENTRIES OPEN]

It's true that VVL (which generally means more cams have to be built into the block itself) makes the engine quite a bit heavier. I think it added a good 23kg to my AlSi block. And I'm not even using the full 5500cc... quite a bit under in fact. Actually, the balance was really finnicky, and any change to the FR distribution caused the balance of grip on the front to change significantly, forcing me to search for the optimal tyre settings all over again.

Made an AP2 car with 620hp and 900kg with balast. I was quite happy until 0.55hp/kg strike me down :D need to rethink cars balance now...

hehe. with turbo. 1hp/kg cars are not really that hard.

but to make them drivable enought is the challenge

Re: Automation Motorsport World Endurance [ENTRIES OPEN]

it was NA, drivability 31.6... nice car although now i saw how stuff will be calculated maybe more drivability and reliability isn't so bad ;)

anyway... can we have a special trim for each track?
can I specify refuelling on every second tyre change? i really do not want two stops in short period :D

I chose refuel on tyre stops. I don't know what you're all complaining about :D

Actually that was the main idea first, but after a quick poll it turns out only very few wanted that
So, no, I think it will give a little advantage over the other competitors.

Just remember that with less fuel in the tank, the car will be slightly faster :geek:
I'm working on a new system for refueling and changing tyres. I will publish that (or I hope to) next saturday or sunday.
