Re: Economy Racers

The race has begun! With a blinding start from nialloftara's Green Monster, he's leaving everyone else in their dust. How will he fare in the corners?
The RS-01 ER from ESkuda has shown that its lightweight and big tires help the car drive as if it was on rails. Almost 430 HP doesn't hurt, either.
Strop impressed the crowd with his retro-styled Mushu. The sponsors were practically calling left and right! However, its FF powertrain and older body may cause problems later on the track.
mer_at's ME Abstichrinne had a screeching start, literally. The engine's high rev limit of 8000 RPM had the crowd go crazy.

More coverage of this race will come out tomorrow.

(Sorry for releasing this early.)

Don't forget, if didn't send me a picture of your car's stats, SEND ME IT OR ELSE YOUR CAR WILL "ACCIDENTLY" BREAK DOWN ON-TRACK.

I can't help but notice that my car's not in that story. Did you get the PM I sent you two days ago?

There's a few other entries accepted that weren't mentioned. I also wanted to check if you had my latest stats, as I updated to comply with the final regulations!

umm, sorry to bother you,but according with the car picture i sent, i think my car won't make that much power, actually it has almost similar power with Nissan VQ37VHR which i took as reference when building the engine.

and yeah,i think i saw another car on page 8 that you forgot to include in the entry list ;)

Re: Economy Racers

Hey, just a heads up, I'm not including all the cars in the first part. I'll include all of them tomorrow, but for now, only a few are mentioned.

Re: Economy Racers

Quick question before the races start: what stats of the cars would you like? I sent you the overview stats in a PM before deadline, would you like detail/engine stats as well?

Re: Economy Racers

Congratulations to all who participated!
I'm going to put catagories up for each car.

Racing Credentials:
Green Monster: 9/10, unbelievable power! Slim tires, though, so things get slidey.
Ardent Avenger: 8/10, good power with good control, especially with the 4WD.
Toyoko Sundiamond ECORUN: 7.5/10, similar power to the Ardent Avenger and 4WD, but with slim tires.
Mushu: 8/10 not a lot of power, but the weight makes up for it!
RS-01 ER: 6/10, same as the Mushu, but a both heavier and more powerful.
07CobaltGirl: 5/10, about as much power as the Mshu but heavier than the RS-01 ER.
ME Abstichrinne: 7.5/10, somewhat underpowered but light, and it has huge tires to prevent skidding.
X-32-Seepster: 4/10, good power and light weight can't hide the skinniest tires in the competition.
Prato Zoope Eco Racer: 6/10, decent power, decent weight.

Economy
Green Monster: 3/10, it barely passed the mark.
Ardent Avenger: 7/10, good economy, I'd say.
Toyoko Sundiamond ECORUN: 9/10, amazing! Over 50 MPG!
Mushu: 3/10, also barely passed the standard.
RS-01 ER: 6/10, good gas mileage!.
07CobaltGirl: 2/10, almost at the limit.
ME Abstichrinne: 8/10, very good economy!
X-32-Seepster: 7.5/10, also has very good economy.
Prato Zoope Eco Racer: 6/10, good economy but not great.

Current Overall
Green Monster: 12
Ardent Avenger: 15
Toyoko Sundiamond ECORUN: 16.5
Mushu: 11
RS-01 ER: 12
07CobaltGirl: 7
ME Abstichrinne: 15.5
X-32-Seepster: 11.5
Prato Zoope Eco Racer: 12

Sorry for posting this late, but I'll have to continue tomorrow!

Re: Economy Racers

That's a pretty tight cluster up at the top. And I don't know what to do with being in a "podium" position at the moment.

Oh wait. Yes I do.

Make fun of the canard on Strop's car.

Re: Economy Racers

Lolololol I love it. "Let's run an eco race with a 9l v8"
I want that engine in my next car.

Also Vic you cheeky bugger, that's it, let's play for keeps! I definitely won't place that well in the whole event (my budget was stretched very tight as I like using all my money), but we should think of a forfeit or something for whoever has a slower lap time! Something like... I dunno. Using the letter decals to spell out some obscene message like GRYPHON GEAR SUCKS EXHAUST on my next publicly released model in the case that I lose.

How about it? :D

Re: Economy Racers

At the risk of having to download badges and install them, you're on, buddy. :D

Should (or when) I lose the lap challenge to you, my next public submission will have to be some bright, overly offensive pastel color, and say ARDENT: SPARKLE PARTY INSIDE. (or Suzume, if it's a Suzume... or something like that).
