Re: Hyper car [Accepting Entries 12 so far]

Nobody has revealed their designs yet. I understand the styling is part of the competition... but the suspense is killing me!

Also because I have such limited time, it took several days of chipping this out a few minutes at a time. I'm not convinced the design language is coherent, but most of the styling cues are very "me", so it will do.

Note: this is not the car I am submitting. It is merely similar.

This is a preview of the Salamander, except it is how GG might have built it, back in 2012, following a 2016 and beyond philosophy, had it the resources to have done this back then (it didn't). That is to say it would have been tuned purely for blistering track times: 1:11 around Airfield, and it would be about as cheap as you can get around Nordschleife in under 7 minutes (from a standing start, according to current sim conditions).

However, the way the game calculates Hypercar desirability is somewhat different from GG's idea of a hypercar... so the score maximised version is quite different.

LOL I missed an entire page of posts while I was at work.

Shocking.

Also kudos on making a moderately powered contender.

I didn't show a picture of mine, or any stats, but I definitely described it to the letter earlier.

Re: Hyper car [Accepting Entries 12 so far]

So even though I tried to disable the open beta selection on my steam launcher at the end. The game still updated to the open beta. (I might have been just a little too late)

The result is the cars that were tuned to a hairs breath from burning up now just burst into flames immediately.

If it is ok with everyone I will just up the cooling until you get the original tuned reliability. I recorded the original scores for everyone who submitted, except for Strop before the patch.

just opt in / out again steam will download the live version of the client again.

You can wait to play with V12s, as the ballance of things changes too much.

In this case, I take it we'll be scored based on the original pre-beta versions then?

Yes it will be the pre-beta version, It still isn't loading 1 fixture for your car, and for some reason I can't get to the workshop to come up. Ill let you know later if the problems persist.

Yeah if it's a problem I'll rebuild. I wanted to change the taillight array anyway >_>

REALLY? I probably find this funnier than I should. Didn't like the taillight so lets use the update as an excuse to rebuild the whole car. That sounds very GG.

Haha probably :P But it's the aesthetic that's bothering me.

The rest of the car's ok though, it's got enough 'hypercar desirability' for the exercise. All good though, I'll probably just fix it in a future design!
