Introducing the 2015 Boss Brute. What better way to get the Blue Collar Workers to tune or buy their weekend cars at Boss Motorsports than producing their work van and mobile office? Focused on utility, fuel efficiency, driveability, and comfort, the 2015 Boss Brute is the van you can log 12 hours in while having all the cargo capacity you could possibly need or want.

The Brute is powered by a brutish 5.5L SOHC 3V V6. This motor is designed to give plenty of torque and horsepower while not making you faint at the pump after filling up. Capable of an overall Automation rated economy of almost 16 US MPG, this van is capable of sipping fuel while developing the muscle you need to do your job. With plenty of displacement and natural aspiration, this motor is simple and cheap, yet powerful and easy to keep cool which makes it great for fleet use.

Boss didn't forget about the practicality of the Brute when it's parked either. On the rear of the vehicle you'll find large spotlights that can be turned on in the cab or rear of the van which allows you to illuminate your work area wherever you happened to park. (Keep the motor running for extended use.)

All in all, we at Boss Motorsports are confident that you will find the Brute plenty strong to keep up with your line of work while providing a comfortable and useful surrounding to do so.

Re: Man With a Van Challenge! (Calculating Results)

Hey Guys, Just wanted to let you know that the results are in progress, it will take a little while for me to gather all of them however, so do be patient please. However, you may have noitced there where more than 20 entries. This is because I was absent for one day, and when I returned there where more than the amount I had posted, but, because I wasn't there to update the list to inform people, I think it would seem unfair for me to deny them entry.

Well................I stand corrected! IIRC my 0-60 was roughly 7 seconds (give or take)....... But my top speed is really low due to aero issues.

Re: Man With a Van Challenge! (Calculating Results)

My van has a mighty 150 horsepower, 3 liter (technical 2997cc) V6, coupled to a trusty old 4 speed automatic. She'll do 106 miles per hour, get 28 MPG (US gallons), and can carry a lot of stuff. Does 0-60 in 10.6 seconds, and will totally rock the quarter mile in a little under 18 seconds.

Re: Man With a Van Challenge! (Calculating Results)

I got a 206hp 5.3L pushrod V8, good enough for 0-60mph time of under 10 seconds and a quarter mile time of around 17 seconds. It also makes plenty of torque to move lots of stuff around. And thanks to the 6-speed automatic gearbox and AWD, anyone can drive this without problems.

Re: Man With a Van Challenge! (Calculating Results)

The Lenraj Shippie has a 2.3 Inline 6 turbo with a 144hp and just under 300nm at 2200rpm paired with a 6-speed automatic gerabox and RWD. It does 0-60 in 9.8 and a quarter mile in just over 17 sec.

The Elephants 4.9L 3V V8 delivers over 545nm of torque where you need it, and climbs up to 340hp by the redline.

Twin turbo 3.0L V6 putting out 427BHP and 371 ft-lb powers my work horse! 0-60 in 9.1 seconds and a 1/4 mile of 16.4 or so.

Re: Man With a Van Challenge! (Calculating Results)

While I may not be able to beat Strops 1/4 mile time mine puts down a respective 15.90 and 7.6s-7.7s 0-60 (the game bounces between the two when you just "refresh" the calculations). Not too bad for only 225 HP :) Just hope I am not delivering wedding cakes or a full dining set.....

EDIT: I forgot one thing, PUSHRODS FTW!!!!!!!!

Re: Man With a Van Challenge! (Calculating Results)

Can't say mine's that great performance wise, but it shines for its drivability and utility. Without going to check, I believe the 0-100 km/h is in around 11 seconds or so... not bad for a large van with a small V6.
