Re: International T/A Series [1971 Season] [Race 6 Results]

So TX was pretty predictable at La Sarthe, but TF was an unpredictable mixed bag.

TX results for La Sarthe:
1st - LeSpass - 4:43.61
2nd - RaduST - 4:46.49
3rd - strop - 4:48.34
4th - luilakkie - 4:48.48
5th - Leo9613 - 4:49.06
6th - chipskate - 4:50.46
7th - np1993 - 4:56.52
8th - HighOctaneLove - 4:59.46
9th - Razyx - 5:04.76
10th - AshleyBlack - 5:08.87

TF results for La Sarthe:
1st - LeSpass - 4:50.91
2nd - strop - 4:51.36
3rd - RaduST - 4:55.60
4th - Leo9613 - 4:55.81
5th - chipskate - 4:56.13
6th - luilakkie - 4:56.68
7th - NiuYorkCiti - 4:59.26
8th - HighOctaneLove - 5:00.17
9th - Sayonara - 5:01.24
10th - RedRiot - 5:01.63
11th - Razyx - 5:03.75
12th - F17Francesco - 5:08.98
13th - Rossriders - 5:15.08
14th - vmo - 5:22.54

There are a couple questions that remain going into the last two races of the season, and they're both in TF class.
Can strop's Renault overcome chipskate's Corona for 2nd overall?
How far will the Baltazar rise in the rankings?

Tomorrow's race is Mid-Ohio. Get me your legal changes before then.

Of COURSE I forget to tune my cars for the only track it might've actually mattered! :x
Let's just hope I do well enough in the last two races to keep my positions.

Now that's a surprise! Or the power of tuning lol. I see Leo has worked on the car with much improved results. I wasn't expecting a podium in the TX with my underpowered hunk o junk, but hey, I'll take it!

Would be overjoyed with a podium finish in TF, that would be better than expected!

Mid-Ohio is in the books. Leo has climbed one more spot in the overall TF leaderboard, and once again NiuYorkCiti and Sayonara are tied. Looks like Road Atlanta will have to determine their ultimate fate.

6th - Leo9613 - 1:49.93
7th - np1993 - 1:51.33
8th - HighOctaneLove - 1:52.39
9th - Razyx - 1:54.32
10th - AshleyBlack - 1:56.86

TF results for Mid-Ohio:
1st - LeSpass - 1:48.25
2nd - Chipskate - 1:48.95
3rd - strop - 1:49.25
4th - luilakkie - 1:49.31
5th - Leo9613 - 1:50.68
6th - Sayonara - 1:50.74
7th - RaduST - 1:50.76
8th - NiuYorkCiti - 1:51.16
9th - RedRiot - 1:51.18
10th - HIghOctaneLove - 1:51.84
11th - Razyx - 1:52.76
12th - Rossriders - 1:54.88
13th - F17Francesco - 1:55.01

Season finale tomorrow at Road Atlanta! This is a two lap race (using the full version that has the flying lap on the end). Get your legal changes to me before then.

No holds barred for the final race! Will the French first timers manage to sneak onto the podium amidst some of the toughest competition out there!?

Re: International T/A Series [1971 Season] [Season Finished]

No surprises in TX, or leaderboard changes for that matter. Road Atlanta was kind to the Renault team, but not kind enough. They needed 2 competitors to finish between them and the Corona in order to tie for the season. Alas, that was not to be. And the battle between Sayonara and NiuYorkCiti was finally decided.

TX results for Road Atlanta:
1st - LeSpass - 3:18.90
2nd - RaduST - 3:20.71
3rd - luilakkie - 3:21.50
4th - chipskate - 3:21.79
5th - strop - 3:22.92
6th - Leo9613 - 3:25.39
7th - np1993 - 3:26.79
8th - HighOctaneLove - 3:29.09
9th - Razyx - 3:32.90
10th - AshleyBlack - 3:36.32

TF results for Road Atlanta:
1st - LeSpass - 3:22.45
2nd - strop - 3:23.80
3rd - chipskate - 3:24.41
4th - luilakkie - 3:25.03
5th - Leo9613 - 3:27.30
6th - Sayonara - 3:27.83
7th - RaduST - 3:28.08
8th - NiuYorkCiti - 3:28.19
9th - HighOctaneLove - 3:28.86
10th - RedRiot - 3:28.87
11th - Razyx - 3:31.55
12th - F17Francesco - 3:34.94
13th - Razyx - 3:37.41
14th - vmo - 3:45.01

Thanks to all the participants for another great season! This series will be on hiatus until the dust settles from the Steam release.

Re: International T/A Series [1971 Season] [Season Finished]

thanks for hosting Vic!

The Renault team is nonetheless overjoyed at their podium finish, which was actually rather better than expected given the strength of the field. For their part, the British team felt their performance, while a little less stellar, was quite strong given how lacking in power they were. Maybe they should have called their car the Vantage :P

The 1968 season of the ITA series was the first time I participated in a challenge. I was really glad that I did. Many thanks to VicVictory for hosting another season.

Re: International T/A Series [1971 Season] [Season Finished]

I finished higher than I expected my car to do, but I suppose having the lightest entry on the grid helped somewhat.

Starting to wonder if I should have gone with a FWD 2.4L I4 instead of a RWD I6.
