Re: (1980) Communist Racing (Entries Closed - RACE TWO RESUL

As predicted, a lack of outright speed has me in the thick of it once again!

Here's to hoping for some tight and technical tracks, then the dynamics of MR drivetrain can be truly tested against the FF builds!

Re: (1980) Communist Racing (Entries Closed - RACE TWO RESUL

OH NO!

Apparently there is a bug going on in the calculations - have to retest all of you guys... some people get faster, some get slower.
Some bug in the calcs caused slower/faster times for people. If the placements stay the same on the recent two tracks - the tables wont be changed and will still be valid - but that is currently in evaluation

Re: (1980) Communist Racing (Entries Closed - RACE TWO RESUL

This is funny, for the first time, it appears that as of these first two tracks, the times my car has run here appears to have been exactly the same as posted!

p.s. I was curious about the differences in the drivetrains. I am mighty impressed with OppositeLock's strong performance in an MR car, as a 5 minute conversion to an FF drivetrain made my own car so much faster it would have been dominating the standings and won SIC by over 2 seconds. This warrants further investigation...

Just Sepang changed! No changes on SPA at all!

Thanks, I really don't have a clue why the car seems to be punching above it's power-to-weight, so to speak. When I saw the stat charts I figured it was doomed to failure. I built an FR car first, but switching to MR resulted such in a massive increase in straight line traction that it seemed like a no-brainer. I'm also not sure why the FFs are as fast as they are, I suspect the game doesn't really model things like weight transfer particularly well. Anyway, if you want to pick apart the car, have at it.

Re: (1980) Communist Racing (RACE THREE RESULTS)

Lud-vigs-har-fun-ring is how you pronounce it (if it was English), if I am not mistaken. Would have been a bit more of a mouthful if it was the Ludwigshafenamreinring!

Nice to see that, for once, my car didn't settle for 12th and decided 11th sounded nicer :P

Re: (1980) Communist Racing (RACE THREE RESULTS)

Lud-vigs-hav-fun-ring is more like it :P

Also you could say... LudwigshafenAmRheinRing or... Siemens Hell or Streets of Ludwigshafen acording to conan.
