Strict requirements combined with lack of design freedom due to model year and low budget.

Due to short notice I will need several days to come up with a challenge.

Re: PIF Design Challenge [Red Group Thread]

In reality, you haven't completed the challenge... the production unit is .7 too high but i considered completed for 2 reason:
- enough victims
- every time i open automation the stats change, and is becoming harder every day, my bench car become worst every day. A week ago, when i created this challenge, to reach the requested stat i used only 5400$ and 76 prod. unit, now i must put a higher quality in some components.
Here my solution:

Re: PIF Design Challenge [Red Group Thread]

To be honest I actually can't be bothered meeting all of the requirements because I've already spent two hours tweaking the same thing over and over.

If this doesn't count (although F17 says it does) then VicVictory can consider the towel tossed.

Re: PIF Design Challenge [Red Group Thread]

I let the host (VicVitory) decide, but in my opinion the challenge is completed, I am pretty satisfied with your solution.
I do not want other people to go crazy, your solution is out for 0.875% on one stat, is not so far...

World Family Championship

A Japanese automaker has just shelved a potential design for a new rally car after producing blueprints and a development mule.

Any resemblance to a GF8 Impreza WRX is purely coincidental

Due to regulations requiring the rally car to be based on a vehicle currently in production, both body and engine have been designed from the start to be easily produced in both competition and road-going variants. Management has greenlit development of the road-going version. The company's current offerings are starting to get long in the tooth, and they'd like to save development costs where possible.

Requirements:
- 65 Driveability or better
- 30 Comfort or better
- 40 Safety or better
- 9 l/100km or better
- 300 Emissions or better
- Use 91 or 95 RON
- 70 Average Reliability or better
- $8000 or cheaper

You MAY:
- Add, remove, and modify fixtures
- morph the body
- convert the car to RWD

You MUST:
- Use the rally car's body and chassis
- Use the rally car's engine family

Optional:
To save further costs:
- Retain the rally car's AWD drivetrain
- Retain the rally car's gearbox (I will accept any gearbox with the same spacing, number of gears, and same approximate top speed).
