Yeah, whenever possible I take the flying lap time, although for very obvious reasons the BRC track isn't taken with a flying start.

Here goes my cheap car....not much power, not much cornering also... we'll see!

Round 3 will take place tomorrow (or the day after if I get really busy) in Daytona.

Re: CRCC: Cheap Racing Car Championship [Second track comple

I definitely have too much downforce. Also, considering my top speed is abysmal, perhaps going for -15 aero quality wasn't the best of my money saving ideas

It's still a third place. Unless Dragawn plans to make us do straight line speed tests for rest of the races I think you have that in a bag. Actually in this scenario I'd probably fall to something like 5th, 6th place maybe lower depending on number of races left.

Re: CRCC: Cheap Racing Car Championship [Second track comple

I'm overall in 7th place right now and i'm pretty content with that considering my car only makes 440hp. That said, the next round is on Daytona and that won't benefit me at all because my car is about cornering and it makes good downforce so it won't be good on the wide open tracks.

Re: CRCC: Cheap Racing Car Championship [Second track comple

Just had a quick test run of the nascar version of the track, and my car is happily taking the entire track flat out. Unfortunately looking at the g-meter while taking those corners everyone else will probably be able to take those corners at the same speed as me, leaving me for dead on the straight. Ah well, I'm 3rd so far so I wont complain.

Wow, top is so close and Pyrlix coming up with huge upset win. Very cool stuff. In other news I seem to be glued to that 4th place. Building balanced car seems to paying off so far, if anything my fault was making it too reasonable. BTW is there any trophy for most comfortable car in competition? From what was posted here it looks like I could have good shot at it  .

Just did a little bit of maths which says that I did the entire track at my car's top speed :P

yeah, it'd be cool if there was one for reliability too... then my car would actually be competitive at something :)

This is the only track where I didn't came second to last. Guess I can only make fast cars on a straight line.
