That's why I was asking the questions about tyre wear - so I could judge from wear in training whether I would profit from changing tyres more often.

I was thinking more about having to take corners at a lower speed and having to brake earlier(both from lower cornering speed and tyres being easier to lockup).

@07CobaltGirl: Oof. I am growing increasingly in favor of RobtheFiend's proposal:

(But yes, thank you so much, Der Bayer, for running the competition! And not just because I have a shot at a top-ten finish in the series, either!)

So what I gathered from that, was that my car is still OK, but other than that I have no idea what to exoectbor how to "win"!

That's real racing!

My car was very close to win.
In Grand Prix, I need more luck and refined strategy to win.

and IF name == "NormanVauxhall" {engineBlown = true}; :D

I was crazy lucky in this race to get through so much stuff unscathed. And that rain picking up at the end... xD

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [BUILD]

Holy crap I just noticed my car got like 90% damage spinning into the barriers on the POMMS sickle when the rain got heavier. So that's why I went from 7th to 16th, I was getting the works in the pit! Well that explains everything. (At least I was lucky and managed to limp into the pits as opposed to squidhead who crashed at exactly the same time. That heavy rain really took out quite a few drivers!)

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [BUILD]

Der Bayer has absolutely outdone himself with the all new BROBOT, it really is positively brilliant. (Needs more superlatives). Thank you!

That rain at the end was great, I think Killrob must have been doing a rain dance. I am very happy with the 4th place.

I think the amount of failures and errors was notable.
