Re: CTC - Car Tycoon Challenge #1 [BUILD]

Well i thought i would try my luck and here it is:
The Yuppie mobile, the car best suited for yuppies as it loud, showy and fast. Factory standard in a shiny chrome finish just to show off a little bit more.

Might as well throw my hat into the ring. The Hudson Ridge, a comfortable midsize car rumored to be prized around 25000.

Wish we had a good 4 door car for this era that doesn't have a tragic safety rating, or wasn't a hatch. I had to fudge a sports body into something resembling a midsize; at least it has 5 seats.

Behold, 1800 pounds of fury and recycled soda bottles. Melts only slightly on hot days, a feature we like to call "adaptive styling".

In order to keep up with the coolness of the Ford RS2000, EMW has designed the 88Special. Not the most Racey of cars, it is the funest though.
The front trunk even has room for your mom's groceries, then again, she eats a lot, so it won't fit. Yes, a your mom joke in an ad... We are trying to reach a certain Demographic ;)
Easy to tune the suspension, this would also be a great track day car!

Re: CTC - Car Tycoon Challenge #1 [BUILD]

Everyone please pay a little bit attention to the instructions. The results are generated by an automated script, therefore your .txt file has to be correct. Copy and paste everything in the red (previously black) border (and ONLY that) in the spreadsheet. And yes, it must be a .txt file, not a PDF. I'm not even talking about correct naming of the files.

I know most of you made their entry correctly, but everyone of the 20% incorrect ones costs me 5-10 minutes, depending on the severity of the failures. That should be time spent on the participant's side, reading the instructions.

Is it cheating if I take a look at the document revisions to find out what people have been calculating there?

Re: CTC - Car Tycoon Challenge #1 [BUILD]

I cannot check who looked into that and I haven't thought about it that you can do that. I don't like that there is the possibility. I will think of a better way for next challenge.

But on the other hand: If you really think it will help you, go ahead. We'll see how much of an advantage you can make out of it. I doubt it will be significant.

Re: CTC - Car Tycoon Challenge #1 [BUILD]

I did a copy of the document just for me, that way I can put all the cars I made and look at all the numbers to pick one. I already picked one, I'm going to refine it a bit and then I will submit.
Can you tell us how many people have submited already?

Carbon fiber? In 88? Wow that must cost the gdp of several small countries.
