Re: Bavarian Rallye Challenge: The Real Deal [OPEN]

I have a nice-ish platform and a couple of pretty good engines (at least i think they really are). I'm looking for a teammate good at fine running models. PM if interested.

Just out of curiousity, the rim offset does still not work for me, judging from the Announcement Video for the BRC i thought it would have been included.

Are we still missing this feature or is my install broken for some reason?

Nope, you didn't quite get what I was saying in that video... that was the closed beta of the game, not the open beta. That means: rim offsets come in the next big update.

Question.. since the names are so importat, how to name the engine exactly, because if I name it the exact same as the platform, you can not see the amount of cc in the DriveTrain Tab anymore (logical), so is it enough to just add the Team name after the engine specifications?

I am looking for teammate to enter both classes.

I have made some good engines for both classes and I have made a platform for the 1988 class.

Send a PM if interested

Kinda stupid question, but should I send one PM with both inscriptions or two PM, each one with the inscription for each class?

The imaginatively named and lazily styled Dave 2 has been entered to the BRC1100.

ps. Any suggestions for names in the next BRC?

Well... to quote the penalties box "Sendong more than one PM (per class) +5 seconds.

So I'd assume we are supposed to send one, and only one PM for each class we enter, not exceeding two PM's total, for all classes combined.

Ok, my first build related question... what's the significance of tires? Does the track take into account road type, such as pavement or dirt? Are we better off with chunky offroad tires, or semi slicks? The one thing I don't see in the track description is if the roads are dirt or pavement. I'm assuming chunky offroad... but I don't wanna find out after the races stat that I should have gone with semi slicks.

It's all asphalt! so semi-slicks are the only good solution for now.

Name it like it is said in the description in the beginning of the engine. You can add whatever you like at the end of the name. Engines are sorted alphabetically in the engine designer. There are reasons for the rules. ;)

One PM per class or one single PM, it's up to you.

WildKarrde wrote:Ok, my first build related question... what's the significance of tires?

There are no dirt tracks possible in Automation. Maybe there will be in the future, who knows. So, as Killrob said, just go for semi slicks.
