It seems that many predictions came true this stage, which means that we are all thinking on the right track. This result confirms that the WRT Turbo cars are slightly biased towards the higher speed stages compared to other front runners, given that we've just had the slowest stage of all. What will happen next!? Who got the balance right??

One thing I would like to add is that I understand that the WRT teams have probably spent a significantly greater amount of time than the vast majority of competitors in this BRC (I know I'm actually hooked to this game in a bad way and need to find a way to partially cure it!). In a way this makes the playing field uneven; to draw an analogy it would be like the real life competition in which independent privateer teams would find it difficult to compete with cashed up dedicated large motorsport corporations (we're like RBR and McLaren etc. muahahaha). Unfair? It is, in the same way that life is unfair, but in a way it's also fair: generally you get out what you put in.
Perhaps the message may be a bit dulled because it's coming from a privileged position, but the way I'd think about it is that some teams are there deliberately aiming to set the benchmark, whereas others are there for less committed reasons and are pleased just to be part of something big. The most important thing for competition, IMHO, is to aim to get out what you can put in. For us, that'd be putting our combined knowledge together to set the fastest possible time (which generally means we're aiming to win too obviously
). Some independent contestants are giving us a good run for our money, which is great. For others, it's throwing together something for laughs and seeing where in the pack it lands. And for others, it means creating replicas of old cars (I'm pretty sure I saw
razyx submit a Touring Alfa in the 1100 class too). We all have different approaches and the variety and spread in the field shows it, which is great. But what's even better is that most people I've seen have realistic expectations, so there's lots of people being pleased at their placings, and lots of pleasant surprises.
The consistent message I've seen from the developers is that the multiplayer mode levels the field by setting short time limits (it's only uneven in that it depends on how familiar you are with the way things work...), and I support this in the interests of multiplayer entertainment. I've tried speed playing the scenarios to see how this would pan out, and it sure makes things tougher!

for now on each stage with each car a 15 second gap to the stage winners and in overall classment a solid 25-28 seconds behind. looks like i'm the joe sixpack of the rally 
, oh well, decisions decisions and Stryfe made a better one, kudos to him.
