Bavarian Rallye Challenge: The Real Deal [FINISHED]
Re: Bavarian Rallye Challenge: The Real Deal [STAGE 2 RESULT
And I'll second that Stryfe did something amazing with that turbo we used.
---
One thing I would like to add is that I understand that the WRT teams have probably spent a significantly greater amount of time than the vast majority of competitors in this BRC (I know I'm actually hooked to this game in a bad way and need to find a way to partially cure it!). In a way this makes the playing field uneven; to draw an analogy it would be like the real life competition in which independent privateer teams would find it difficult to compete with cashed up dedicated large motorsport corporations (we're like RBR and McLaren etc. muahahaha). Unfair? It is, in the same way that life is unfair, but in a way it's also fair: generally you get out what you put in.
Perhaps the message may be a bit dulled because it's coming from a privileged position, but the way I'd think about it is that some teams are there deliberately aiming to set the benchmark, whereas others are there for less committed reasons and are pleased just to be part of something big. The most important thing for competition, IMHO, is to aim to get out what you can put in. For us, that'd be putting our combined knowledge together to set the fastest possible time (which generally means we're aiming to win too obviously
The consistent message I've seen from the developers is that the multiplayer mode levels the field by setting short time limits (it's only uneven in that it depends on how familiar you are with the way things work...), and I support this in the interests of multiplayer entertainment. I've tried speed playing the scenarios to see how this would pan out, and it sure makes things tougher!

I am not very surprised by my BRC1100 finish.

My result on BRC 1100 is something I did not expect. At all.

I'm glad to see that my car didn't lose too much time in the slow second, still 10th, better than expected.
And damn WRT team, makes me regretting to not continue developing a high power V8, since I had one at 650hp and lowered it due to the -52.5% tameness penalty
One thing that I have mixed feelings about is that Der Bayer's work is participating without weight penalty, even though it's his teammate using it

On the other hand, the Golimar Tweety (the BRC1100 one) might get somewhere along the middle. Quite nice.
Also: my next competition entry will show the full might of Golimar Automotive!
Starting with proper car names.
EDIT: um. Is it possible to change the names for the next stages, to those I used in this post?

Time will tell.

Such is the folly of throwing my car's setup together in around 3 - 4 minutes.

are there any 4 cylinder cars in the top 10? using a v8 never crossed my mind because of the size restriction.
thanks to der bayer for putting so much effort into this and making it as exciting as it is.

Which category? My BRC 1100 car uses a V 8 and my S1000 car uses an I 6.

Super proud of my Super 1000 car... that's the one I was counting on to do ok. Hope I didn't just hit its peak.

We didn't expect to arrive first in the second stage. We were expecting a performance not so far form the Stage 1, but the great work done by Reparto Performance have gained us the highest place in the podium. Rise the glass and toss! We have some champagne bottle in Žnoprešk pavillion. Everyone is invited.
On the BRC1100 side, now we are a little more confident that we could archieve the 12th place in the overall chart, but we are still not going to bet anything on it. There are 4 more days of competition ahead of us and anything could happend.

Am more than impressed with your efforts, looks like we have a bit of a fight going on in Super 1000. Is your Super 1000 Awd or Rwd?
