Re: BRC 1955 - The Golden Age [BUILD]

Hi guys!

This last test got me nowhere so now it's time to start rethinking everything again. Things like, does Brake Airflow do anything? It doesn't change any visible stats, does it effect anything in the pre-season simulator? Anyone know?

EDIT: One more question. Are high Drivability and Sportiness scores more important than a good lap time?
Let's say I start with (D/S) 35/22 and a 2:40 lap time, but then I can get the same laptime with 32,5/22. What am I really losing?

Well top 5 now. Only slightly worse tire wear. I dont think that I have any more changes to make now as speed is acceptable and tire wear is acceptable.

Brake airflow changes brake fade and this should influence driveability.
Drivability and Sportiness (or better TrackDrivability and TrackSportiness) go directly into the cornering speeds and laptimes. This is the same in the test track simulation in the game already. The only additional thing in my simulation is the influence on probability of driver errors.

Just in case you want to know: This is the fifth, not yet announced track (replacement for Nordschleife):

Happy guessing! :)

So brake fade doesn't build over a distance, as in, brakes work less for every lap? Instead they effect lap times as a fixed constant?

Good. That means I've cut four tenths and it's still holding well into the 2:40's now 8-) .

Building an all new car based on the mid engined 1945 small body, already sitting at 2:41 and still got some tune left in it. Direct overhead cam has given me a ridiculously flat power band. Only problem so far is top speed.......

...and I can't even go faster than 2:47...good thing that I've retired my car cause surely I would go nuts seeing '45 all over with struggling to qualify on the last place...I just can't car, and that's the bottom line, cause I've just said so.

Re: BRC 1955 - The Golden Age [BUILD]

A quick heads-up on scrutineering of the current entries:

Currently disqualified would be (I only give one reason for DQ per player, maybe there are more!):

  • AshleyBlack - Total Cost (plus 0 reliability warning)
  • UltimateBMWfan - Total Cost
  • conan - Total Cost
  • darkjedi - Total Cost
  • vmo - Power/Weight
Send in a legal revision, please. :)

Total number of entries so far: 39

Btw Der Bayer. I hope it is forbidden for people to make use of the safety car weight bug. Currently if you take a safety package and do -15 quality your car weights less than without any safety.

It is well known and not banned. Just about everyone is using it right now.
