I did a first rule check and some of the entries have issues. Please check out the participant list in the first post to see if your car is in trouble. You still have the possibility to fix your car, of course.

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [BUILD]

Because this was what caught a lot of people in the past: 0.25 hp/kg = 0.1864 kW/kg.

(Or 0.1134 hp/lb, but I don't know that anyone has been caught out by that one.)

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [BUILD]

My car is making 485HP with a weight of 1146.6. I calculated and it sums up to 0.19 Power/Weight Ratio. Am I doing this wrong?

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [BUILD]

Very.

1146.6 kg * 0.25 hp or 1156.6 kg / 4 hp = 286.65 hp

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [BUILD]

You take the weight in Kg (let's say it's 1000Kg) and multiply it by .25 (as in, for each of those 1000Kgs, you can have .25HP) and then you get how many HP you're allowed (250HP)

KG X .25 = Allowed HP

You can just make the car heavier instead! You only need 1940 kg!

Yeah, Isaac (our UE4 programmer) did that. Made a huge SUV with huge amounts of power in the hope of getting a good top speed :P

Der Bayer, your total cost calculations for the trim summary lua are wonky, driver assists quality and aero quality does not influence it whatsoever unlike in Automation on my car.

I just took the value out of your trim .lua file. You can take a look yourself, just open the file and search for "TotalCost".

I'll try reducing horsepower to squeeze more economy and I'll add some weight (Improving reliability/safety)

Yeah I did, it didn't budge a single cent when i altered aero and driver assists quality, I'll give it one last shot and then send the files over so you can check yourself.

I just realized that I accidentally deleted my BRC engine.

Now I have to start from scratch. Crap.

Material costs don't change, production units skyrocket.
