I got an engine I am probably not going to use, maybe one of you wants it.

Power trims 205, 232, 242, 245.

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [BUILD]

I haven't had time to process any of the data, but it seems that at least the car I sent in was correct. I don't know if the settings were preserved in simulation. That it went from 13th to 4th in the race is encouraging, and I also note that those who did well in qualifying may not keep that position in the race.

The weather is sure to mix things up. Maybe I should shed some excess weight in the form of my safety buffer :P and I could probably afford to cut the reliability and spend the money elsewhere...

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [BUILD]

I decided to half my safety to 10 so my car will lose about 29 kg. And when I retuned my engine to fit the new ratio I also made it more reliable. Still under 30 though.

The weather sure did a number with that uncalled for stop at lap 11 but it happened for pretty much everyone and because of that I am not sure it affected much because it was so timely.

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [BUILD]

So I have built a car for this challenge, it does break one design rule by using a body older than 10 years. But I am sure Der Bayer will let that slide.

Behold the Bread Van - Tuna. Powered by the 1.5lt V6 Crumbs - Ripems. The fastest and lightest Breadvan in the western world:

Well, my car making skills are still awesome, except not at all. I made a new car from scratch with new body...and I run 2:26 @ Automation track...gets depressed

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [BUILD]

I made a 1300kg V8 powered van on the VW Bulli body with FWD and got it below 2:25, so you can do better than that with a proper car body! ;-D

The BRCTool again has been updated and should select the correct trim now after scrolling.
