And on the first day of the year, I bring you the results of the last race on this season of the ATCC.

Congratulations to the overall winner, Jakgoe!
And I thank everyone of you who took part on this, thanks very much!
Share your thoughts and suggestions for the second season of the ATCC, which could come soon. It really does depend on your feedback, if you are interested I could start a new season almost straightaway.
See you then!

Re: Automation Touring Car Championship [FINAL RESULTS]
Congrats to Jakgoe, I feel luck would be a very modest way of putting things, given your experience, but don't worry, where you might not give yourself credit, we shall

To me, what this tournament proved is that a slightly tuned but fundamentally better balanced build for the tracks does overall better than an extreme build tuned to its utmost. Like in previous tournaments of this size, it's interesting to see how certain perhaps counterintuitive methods yield better results, and from this we might be able to pinpoint not just how to make faster cars, but also quirks in the simulation.
For the company, given what we did, 2nd place is well deserved. GG faces a crossroads in competitive motorsports: whether to continue adopting their extreme power:weight approach, or to seek better balance to seriously chase the win. What will we do? Only time will tell!
I feel an 8 race tournament in a similar format would do nicely. I'm very keen on another adaptation of a touring car format, though if it were V8 Supercars I would personally prefer all tracks to be based on the Australian circuit (of which only one exists so far). If it were WTCC based, perhaps it might be easier to make on preexisting tracks. My biggest concern would be to know the tracks beforehand and the specific files, so we could scope out track conditions ahead of time.
Looking forward to another season! But I'm in no hurry, so whenever is good for you!

That result also means plenty of room to improve upon using the stuff I learned so far, but also to fail doing so by refusing to use some stuff I learned, or knew beforehand and already didn't use in the first car. Good thing the second season Group A rules include a weight limit, that reduces at least some of the weight penalty already by default.
Leonardo9613, thank you for hosting this nice and well executed ATCC competition and I'm looking forward to be part of the 1987 ATCC.
But now I need an engine and a car to put it into, again V8 Turbo and 4 door sedan of course but this time AWD. The general idea behind QSA was 'kind of Subarus with Italian inspired looks and, sometimes, technical genius bordering madness' after all.
