Koolkei, that's a known bug. Good job bringing it up, but please don't exploit that in your entries, as the rules should not be expected to reasonably cover the game working as it shouldn't.

Re: The Farm Truck Challenge (Stage 2 - Accepting Entries)

oh kay then. i didn't know it was a bug.
(actually, why is it a bug? like you can do that irl, but not in-game huh....)

so anyway. here's the spreadsheet i made for counting your scores guys. just note what kli said below.

it's unofficial, and may not be 100% accurate. but may be a good anchor point.
not to mention, this is only 90% of the scores, as i dont know the formula for the last 10% score from automation test track.

Yeah that's not allowed. The bug is making me reconsider my bonus points...

koolkei wrote:also. i made a spreadsheet for counting the scores for this stage 2 challenge. how do i share it via google drive again? (assuming you dont mind, do you kli?)
i just mimic the stage 1 spreadsheets and change the numbers for the calculation

You can share it if you want. However it's unofficial and I'm not going to monitor it. It can be for reference. I'll be sharing my Official Stage 1 Spreadsheet when all reviews have been posted.

Re: The Farm Truck Challenge (Stage 2 - Accepting Entries)

OP has been updated with the final tidbits for the computation of challenge scores. Should be smooth sailing from here.

Due to an unforeseen and unplanned circumstance, I will be traveling the weekend the competition is supposed to end. Therefore, I may extend the deadline by a few days to a week in order to allow you guys more time to tune. I don't want to close the competition and then leave you guys dangling on the scores for a whole week while I travel and do some work throughout the week.

Edit: I made a poll and I'll leave it up to y'all.

Edit 2: If you don't see your username under "Pending Entries" in the OP and you've already submitted, please PM me your truck again. I may have misplaced or overlooked your message in my shuffling of FTC and FTC2 entries recently.

I assume this is meant to be inverted or is intentional that the slower i am around the track the more points i get? :D

I thought that looked off when I put it in for some reason. Thank you for pointing that out. It should be inverted. I will attempt to fix that now.

Presenting the 2011 Solo Brute SM 4x4 SM!
The SMs stand for Sport Model and Storage cab, Medium box. I should have anticipated odd combinations like this.

Ohhhhhhhh I did really like that front grille styling the first time around. It looks even better in scarlet!

Thanks! I prefer how it looks with this modified grill, compared to the original. The red definitely helps.

Re: The Farm Truck Challenge (Stage 2 - Accepting Entries)

This time i really don't expect much, since the truck its based on is an affordable off-roader with a solid coil axle, not good for sportiness. Nonetheless i tried my best.

Yeah same suspension failings here, but hey, there's always room for movement with the tyres and the engine.

Let's just say my truck can match a Lotus Exige S around the track, any track, despite being more than twice as heavy. It kind of does also consume a lot more petrol...

Re: The Farm Truck Challenge (Stage 2 - Accepting Entries)

Mine's got solid axle coil in the rear and MacPherson strut in the front. Far from a performance setup, but at least it's cheap, great for carrying heavy loads, and going off paved roads. Like strop said, just work the wheels and engine around that.

I already submitted mine. Though it seems my truck is faster than a BMW M3 E46 around a particular german track :), that makes me somewhat happy.
