Re: Regular Communist (1986) - Racing and Car Rating!

I've submitted a car.
I'm not very confident about the result because it was based on Znopresk and buil by russians: the Znopresk-ASAZ (Arkhangelsk-Severodvinsk Avtomobil'nyj Zavod) Z220-Est. Based on the old Z200 body and optimized for the Russian market. Still in production after 23 years, I'm not sure it will be a good seller but...
ŽM-Automobili Group
Born by the fusion of Blue Marlin Motori Auto and Žnoprešk Avto in 1972.
BMMS Dolphine Mk.II and Žnoprešk Zest (1974)
Žnoprešk Z217 (1963)
Žnoprešk Zap! (1981)

The друг, known in Capitalist land as the Droog, is very good car for glorious Soviet Union.

Light weight and economical engine allow Droog to acheive at least 25 Mile per gallon.

Tovarishch would like to introduce the sublime Tovarishch Banalost. (Comrade Commonplace)

With almost 100 horsepower and bodywork as strong as our Comrades skulls, it's sure to be a great contender.

Meet the 1986 Storm Travill GL, an American car made for the world market.

This one packs the mighty Storm Tradewind inline 4 as the engine of choice.

Re: Regular Communist (1986) - Racing and Car Rating!

It's a bit of a standard of mine. Much easier now that I can shift-drag to make duplicates, but I've been doing that since I started playing Automation. It's simple, clean, and road legal just about anywhere, I think. I've found it to be one of those arrangements that, with a little tweaking here and there, looks good on just about any car. It helps that this is a body I've used an awful lot, as well.

I decided just to keep this one kinda clean. I've done some variations with that body style that can get a bit busy, a bit wild, and so I decided to make one that keeps things simple and somewhat classy.

Re: Regular Communist (1986) - Racing and Car Rating!

Nice, Jason! Me, I'm going to wait until all of the entries are in before I show off the Tradewind I4, but I can say with reasonable honesty, it's a whole different beast.

Still, 1400cc isn't too bad. Keeps the car light, and provides a good healthy chunk of horsepower.

As I said, I will reveal the Tradewind I4 once the entries are in, and I think some people will be in for a surprise.

My teaser is that the car is significantly quicker off the line as a FWD than RWD... Or even AWD.
