ROFLOL, this is looking like a "Smash Strop" challenge now :P You should be proud Strop! ROFLOL!!!

But I can understand the others, it is very intimidating at times when I see what you have entered, you really know how to build the cars for these challenges. Still, as long as you have fun it doesnt matter IMO :D

I'm just hoping to place ahead of some of the cars with the '80s LMP1 body. :P

Covering a bunch of missed things:
That's a nice face your car has Oskiinus. I think something left your car unamused.
Strop: I'd prefer that you properly cool it, but it isn't against the rules to allow the engine to run hot.
For all we know, your car's handling could make up for the lack of speed. Just an example, Strop could build a speed demon that flies off the course in corners, allowing you to win at tracks with heavy amounts of cornering.

Also, I'll be unable to accept entries over the next few days due to a lack of access to Automation. I think I'll be able to on Tuesday, but no guarantees. I mean, feel free to keep sending them in, but there won't be any update on confirmation or anything. However, I will be able to answer questions, but don't be surprised if it takes me a few hours or a day or something.

Okay Neon, I will wait for confirmation of my car (if it will happen lol).
And I know this face can be pretty controversial, but I was going on AERO ALL DA WAY rule.

1000 hp....................... :o :?

Sooo, it looks like Packbat and myself (and maybe a couple of others) have brought spears and daggers to a nuclear war, and subsequently will be hanging out in the back (until the prototypes come back around to lap us at least) awaiting total annihilation.

I'll bring the beer, Packbat. You got chips and dip?

Here's my modest "Group 5 homologated" racer. I say it this way, because there was no Group 5 in 1990, but I digress...

Yes, these pictures are incredibly large just to slow down your internet for running LMPs. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

It's a safe bet I'm nowhere close to 1000 hp and probably not even in the running due to, you know, street car physics and drag coefficiency-ness. But I'm just here to have fun anyway, so,

BRING IT, Mother F.....

.....errmmm...guys?

Hey, who knows, the under 1k club may stand a chance. I mean, sure a lot of the tracks have huge straightaways but don't count yourselves out.

Besides, if all goes well, I already have some concepts for a few other tournaments and challenges that would be kind of entertaining. That is, of course that I keep making tournaments.

What about the under 600hp club? hahaha

It's hard to get a lot of HP out of OHV motors in 1990....but I'm an American, dammit! So it is what I use. :D

I like your car, 07CobaltGirl (the front end especially), and I can bring the chips & dip (cheese, salsa, and guac, right?), but I have a confession to make: the Molossidae race car has over 850 whp and less than 1 meter squared of aero drag. It's ... probably going to be pretty fast.

Er, just to clarify everybody: I'm not usually the top speed king, and I'm also not usually the overall horsepower king either  Nor will my car necessarily have the best circle test values. Where I excel is in power: weight ... And lap times :P

And while mine MIGHT be a speeder it is really BAD in the corners and everywhere else in between so I will not be in the top either ;) Next time though :D

Re: Formula Automation - 1990 Formula One Season

I can guarantee that if I were to enter, I'd do far worse than y'all. I could probably rip out 1k horsepower with the tuning and rip the speed up to about 230, but lap times are my weakspot. Heck, the original Thor X was faster than the Bugatti Veyron World Record Edition (I think it clocked in at around 157 if I remember correctly), but the lap time at the airfield track was around 1:21 area. That's a 3 second gap. I should probably sit down and learn how to make a good laptime car.
