Well, if we're gonna do that, here's an N/A V8 producing 800 HP to a '64 body that will do 1:12.8 around TGTT. That goes down to 1:12.17 with a S-DC Gearbox.

Re: Perfect Race car Challange

But it seems in these regulations that were obliged to use turbo, which ruins tameness!

(Seriously kubbys body fits 455 fronts 485 rear, its ridiculous. You thought the van was fast?)

Re: Perfect Race car Challange

Okay, I've changed my mind no less than 3 times now. Originally I was going to go with a front engined AWD car. Then I figured nah, I've done that too much already. But I figured the penalty tameness for turbo MR cars was too high so I've always ignored that...

...that is to say I found it too difficult because I'm normally extremely aggressive with my turbo setups. I'm now learning (some will find this shocking), how to actually make this turbo tech somewhat useable by, say, not going vrooooom putt putt putt HOLY SHIT BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOST!!! I also, again more shock and horror, didn't actually cram the biggest engine I could make in the engine bay. It fits in the bay like I'm not actually Strop, wtf

And then I put it in possibly the most ridiculous and polarising looking car here, Sleipnir. So yes, still Strop of Gryphon Gear here :P

I had to change the colour because all the MR entries here are of the same colour, what's up with that!?

Re: Perfect Race car Challange

Nice contest actually, i was going to do a mid engined car but i struggeld getting to the required 200mph, so this is when i used the body with the enourmous tyres and humongous enginebay. Then i combined it with an almost equally humongous engine,

It's a pretty big turnout! I'll be interested to see how my attempt at balancing a turbo in an MR car went.
