YES! I GET TO MAKE FUN OF ANOTHER CAR WITH A CANARD! That will also totally be kicking my butt around the track...

Re: 1975 Compact Turbo Cup

I also added a front wing on my car after I took the photo, and I didn't take another one because it looks terrible :P

I hope my car does well, it is another 30 min build. I might have taken longer to write a PM than I did to make the whole car, because of how tired I was.

Re: 1975 Compact Turbo Cup

Obligatory fancy charts and graphs.

We have a lot of power at work, here is the breakdown.
Image
Here we go, this is the kw per kg of vehicle, as you can see strop is leading in this category.
Image
Sportiness over tameness, we can see that we have a mixed bag here.
Image
Finally, the cost, we can see that getting right up to the maximum value is easier said then done.

Re: 1975 Compact Turbo Cup (Race 1 Finished)

ooh! I can already feel this is going to end up a very interesting contest! I haven't yet looked at oppositelock's Communist Cup entry, but I can see some resemblances in the results! (despite using completely different drivetrain)

Re: 1975 Compact Turbo Cup (Race 2 Results)

I had forgotten that I was only using MacPherson fronts! Anyone else here not using double wishbones? I'm pinning my presumably poorer cornering dynamics mainly on that.

Re: 1975 Compact Turbo Cup (Race 2 Results)

I must stop doing cars in less than 20 minutes, as in this case. It used to work, but surely it doesn't as well anymore.

My car has McPherson struts, Strop. Otherwise the engine wouldn't fit.

Did you end up going with -15 suspension quality? Could be that. ;)
