Re: Bavarian Rallye Challenge: The Real Deal [NOT OPEN YET]

Can engine MTBF be lower than 20000 km in engine editor, if MTBF in model editor is higher than 20000 km, or is this reason for disqualification?

Yes to all. MTBF in the car, not the engine designer. It may be lower than 20000 km in the engine designer.

Re: Bavarian Rallye Challenge: The Real Deal [NOT OPEN YET]

How do we determine MTBF in the car? The one displayed on the "Drivetrain" tab after engine selection? Sorry for the noob questions, but I'm still trying to figure out a lot about the Car Designer. Cooling and Aero are absolutely killing me. hahaha

Yes, that is the value you should be looking at (for now at least, until a proper reliability stat gets introduced)

Re: Bavarian Rallye Challenge: The Real Deal [NOT OPEN YET]

OK, on to the next question. Driver Assists are not allowed. So no power steering, ABS, TCS, or ESC? Power Steering was pretty much a standard in 1992 I think. Not sure about rallye cars, however. Are any of these allowed, or am I in the wrong section (wouldn't be surpised if I were)?

Nope you've got it right, all of those are a no-no in this.

Re: Bavarian Rallye Challenge: The Real Deal [NOT OPEN YET]

Guys, make extra sure that your engines dont change their values when they are loaded. i have a 1800cc engine which, after it is saved and reloaded again, becomes a 1801cc engine. I asked Der bayer and this would exclude the car. I've now made it a 1799cc engine just to make sure I don't get any problems.

ps. Der Bayer, for some reason the photo of the car is not showing up when I highlight the model, but it shows up when you highlight the platform. is this going to be a problem?

Re: Bavarian Rallye Challenge: The Real Deal [OPEN]

I present you my 2 participant cars.

The NADA Mishka

Image

Is making good impression on others, has licensed engine from Banhammer Cars (thank you for this) and is very fast.

and the other participant for the 1100 Class is the

NADA Mirov 3000

Image

Looks normal until you sit in and start the engine. It has massive V8 engine with over 300kW power and will blow your ears. Driving on the track will frighten you because of the very extreme cornering and speeds it can reach

Good luck everyone for this race!

Der Bayer,

Can you please put a list of entries once they start coming in, just like in the last BEC?

Yeah, but today is a bit early. I will probably post the first list on Saturday and then update it daily.
