Re: BRC 1955 - The Golden Age [BUILD]

Based on my poor results from the first practice run, my additional 1 day worth of testing, and the fact that I'm leaving the country for vacation at the end of this week. I have decided to enter my coupe body into the 1955 race as I was only able to shave .1 seconds off of my mini's lap times (although with significant reduction in camber). I will finalize its tuning in the next day or so and send it in. Any word on the next practice run so I can have it in by then?

Last report I think was from Monday:

Re: BRC 1955 - The Golden Age [BUILD]

omg, if I can get my car to save its actual stats and stop giving me a max wheel diameter of 560 I am submitting it and not touching it anymore. I have already lost 4 tunes today, 1 of which saw 2:40 flat on the Automation Track, with the coupe body. I am currently trying to get back my most current tune that got me down to 2:40.79 but the wheels have glitched and won't go above 560mm and my suspension height was changed for some reason. Note to others, NEVER load another car while working on a different one. Always exit the game before trying to load a different car or it fucks stuff up horribly and can only be fixed by directly editing the .lua file :|

2:40 flat on the coupe body, holy crap.

Though that said, I had some freakish times while testing and it turned out the calculations were funny, as reloading the whole thing proved... a bit finnicky!

Re: BRC 1955 - The Golden Age [BUILD]

@TheBobWiley: the wheel diameter thing comes when you work on more than one car in a session of Automation I found out recently. To make sure it doesn't fuck things up, restart the game before working on a different car. Also, as was noted in the other thread: no renaming! :s

Re: BRC 1955 - The Golden Age [BUILD]

Well my time to tune before the deadline is basically up as I have to begin packing and getting ready for vacation. (I will be in Germany for a few days of it, near a lot of players it seems :P ) Finally got my car to save but every time I open it its lap time changes by .01 seconds up and down. If I open it one time itll be .01 s slower and the next time I open it itll go back down, then back up, etc.

Here she is in all he fat, slow, glory.

Really trying to figure out how I want to lay out stats on the gifs so that are easy to read, but also look nice. I like what some people do where they cut out the stats from automation in their little red and black boxes and paste them together to make their own stat pages.... but I'm too lazy to do that many small cuts :|

And here is the bad boy that putters The Beast along. Notice the flat HP section that makes for a nice gearing graph :)

Oh that's just gorgeous Bob. Interested to see what times it can get. Love the power curve too.

Awesome job on that one, looks like this entry will put a different body type up in the top 5! :D

Re: BRC 1955 - The Golden Age [BUILD]

Submitted my new revision... went over to the dark side literally

It could get very interesting with a drivability/Sportiness at .94 on sport compound tires.

The second pre-season test is now in the making! I might extend the submission phase by one week because it took so long to get this test running. I'll keep you up to date!

Going to have to take some screens etc of my entry. I am feeling slightly confident of it.

How many entries do you have, Martin? Do you need more? In that case I could post about the challenge on Facebook.

Currently I have exactly 38. I don't think advertisments are necessary, but thanks for the offer :)

Ah, I'm really looking forward to this :D

I can't decide what body to enter with, might swap to the 40's front engine for old times sake :D
