I told you there would be an announcement, sadly, there were a few problems regarding schedules.



But finally the second race of the Somwos is here. However, this time there will be commentary by Pyrlix and NormanVauxhall, on Pyrlix' twitch account, and I might take part, if I manage to find a decent cheap headset to buy.

The race will take place on Monday 9th, at 19:30 UTC (2:30 pm Eastern US/20:30 Central Europe). I hope to see you all then!

Yeah, that was a large part of why I joined. (I might have joined even if it was just time-trials - I like the conceit - but it being races was a big turn-on.)

I arrived late because of traffic, but the main issue was with my sound card, which was refusing to work. And the things properly broke, but I think I have managed to restore it. Thanks to pyrlix and Lordred for helping me with IT, by the way.

turns out, the stream starts half an hour after i went to bed......

note to self:
if the stream starts late on a day it means, it's around 2-3 am in the morning the day after where i am

Second: wow, my car is literally nowhere in this race ... and the leader is literally miles ahead of the competition!

I'm confused... why is it Monza with the 60s layout ? Wouldn't have it make more sense to use the modern layout version ? (I know technically, in 1993 Monza had 2 chicanes in the main straight instead of one but still...).

Also it looks like cars are mandated to trail a fuel citern for this practice session

That is a good question. Basically it is my fault, since I asked Der Bayer for the same tracks that he used on his BRC, so he wouldn't have to bother with different tracks, I forgot that Monza had a different set-up back then, so he did what I asked. My bad.

I only asked for one new track, for the fourth and final race. I'm going to reveal what track it is only during the 3rd race stream. (Unless I have already done that, in which case, ignore this)
