Cars will start with the neccessary amount of fuel plus safety margin in qualifying and race, yes. So gas guzzlers will be heavier in the beginning.

Is it still possible to run out of fuel? For instance if you have a combination of worn out tires and crash damage could this be enough that you simply cant finish due to fuel exhaustion?

It will not be possible to run out of fuel, no. You may have to retire because of too heavy crash damage or an engine failure though.

So.....without the 70kg driver I am actually FASTER than strop! Instead of 14th behind him by one, I finished 11th ahead by one. And...Mer_at!!!!!! 1.00 F/R grip after 11 laps????????????????????? And consistently a full second faster than me to boot. What am I doing WRONG? hahaha Good job, and awesome work Der Bayer. This is going to be sooooo much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, the Packbat Auto Works quest for speed has run into a minor snag: to avoid confusion, the chief engineer mandated that every new variation had to have a unique paint job, and, well...

On the bright side*, the new engine and associated suspension adjustments should make it almost a second faster and nearly 20% more economical - improvements that were much needed to compete with the other vehicles - while only somewhat increasing the risk of catastrophic engine failure.

* Which, technically, would be every side of this thing.

Yeah, I am suprised at how well the grip holds up for some of the cars. I have to run -2.8 / -1.2 camber and it suddenly starts eating away at wear on the last few laps....

Re: BRC - Out of the Steam - 1945 [BUILD]

Tried a completely different approach, at the test track I shaved off almost 3,5 secs..should be a little more economical too. My only question is: will the tires still not wear too much?

You have just been too late. I started the training session at least one hour before you sent me your files. You will be in the last pre-testing session which will be started in approx. 1 hour. The video will be up tomorrow.

Re: BRC - Out of the Steam - 1945 [BUILD]

Hmmmmmmm... I actually don't know if I'm going to have time to adjust my car. Contrary to everything that I like to do, instead of going for a competitive qualifying time, I might actually just make it a really economical car and reduce the tyre wear, which is going to slow it down even further, but maybe I can see if I can get through the races without having to pit

There will be no pit stops.

The final Pre-Season Test has been finished. I'm looking forward to your revisions and to the racing action! :)
