Re: AMWEC '15 [1st race December 6th + AP1 SPOTTER GUIDE]

Hm. I wonder what the optimal weight and power really is. Since I'm using an AGTE car and they're relatively heavy, I went pretty much right to the minimum 1245kg and Max power, which is about 685hp. Which means that compared to the AP1 cars it's more powerful and heavier than all but 2 of them.

This said, the AP1 cars have a significant budget advantage. I wonder how drivable they are compared to mine.

I can reveal now that the Zeus Grand Tournament Spec GG Tune has a drivability score of >50.

that's a rather low torque average

I was wondering the same, so I made 3 different strategies. My cars are all max hp/kg so you can calculate the weight.

That's quite high driveability there... I am doing between 35 and 45 in all classes and AP1 is at the bottom. Driveability really is my weakest point and so far I am lacing knowledge or experience to improve much. That said, I was pushing for decent lap time and my feeling is that 7:26 in green hell is quite good. Might be wrong since this is my first competition but I guess we will see how that plays out.

Oh and strop, reading about your reputation I was expecting someting with 1000+hp :D

Re: AMWEC '15 [1st race December 6th + AP1 SPOTTER GUIDE]

Yeah but... 1000hp would have required a 1900kg car, and I just don't do that :P these power weight limited things really kill me but in terms of my fantasy company story it's very important that I join this tournament, so.

That's why I created BSLL in the first place, I was tired of having a Max cap on power, so I decided to use a minimum requirement instead

Re: AMWEC '15 [1st race December 6th + AP1 SPOTTER GUIDE]

As far as I'm aware i've got the most driveable car from what I've been told.
Reliability is great, but high reliability is nothing without decent drivability it seems.

I think i'll have one of the slowest cars but i'll have very few pitstops :)

The hype is real.

Another interesting note that I didn't notice before, I have the smallest engine capacity in AP1.

Re: AMWEC '15 [Results first race]

This pleases me greatly. I was thinking maybe I could pull off a competitive AGTE car but I got so excited I actually got nervous about it LOL.

I knew the Sepang was going to be a quick car, so I had it in my sights hehe. How will it turn out in the end, I guess we will find out!

Well, Im glad you knew about it, since I had NO IDEA :D This is a total shock for me! And Adelaide isn't a compelte failure, despite being underpowered as hell. NICE!
Thanks for doing this Sillyworld! Awesome!
