Very Impressive! I'm not sure how to get past that. Someone in the go-fast department is gonna get a chewing over.

Re: [NEW B1415] Automation Airfield Power Lap Times

Thanks! :)

It was not easy, but to anyone competing, don't put fixtures on the car until you like its performance. What I mean is, pick a body and shape it, skip the fixtures, and go to tuning. This way you can adjust your car's body and then add cooling, lips, lights, etc.

Sure! You can submit as many entries as you like. Just the same as the Top Gear lap board. :)

Re: [NEW B1415] Automation Airfield Power Lap Times

And the 1999 Khusus xTreme AWD from Petokraka Automobiles takes 10th place on the score board for production cars, with a time of 1:25.65. We see this as good results for a big sedan made out of corrosion resistant steel.

The Khusus is a production car from 1999 and the xTreme AWD is the top trim level of this car. There is no super eight, there is no carbon fiber or any other modern stuff, there is no direct injection and it doesn't have a hand built engine. It's mass production friendly! Standard interior (no super light stuff), standard entertainment, power steering, ABS, traction control, electronic stabilty and premium 90s safety. Fully clad undertray and dual three piston brakes. Pics of stats, engine and the car itself down below.

It's a "production" car.

So the race car category is open season? In that design specs are virtually unrestricted?

Yes, the only restriction is that the engine needs to have a reliability of over 0 after ventilation calculated. Oh, and no manual editing of the lua file :P

Given I don't even know what a lua file is I'm looking forward to my attempt at a 'race' car haha

Front engine designs are not dead yet! Here's the 950hp, 7liter, Centauri Buffalo tracpac jumping into the top 3.

The NVA Inline I6 T Street
Image

This vehicle is designed with all steel construction... no expensive composite materials or aluminum was used for the body. Front engine, longitudinal AWD. The powerplant is a 3.1L turbo inline 6 cylinder, with catalytic converter and mufflers. The engine is pushing 739hp while only requiring premium unleaded fuel. Tires provided from factory are sport road compound.

Swanson Motorsports Engineering presents:

The 2014 ZX53GT Coupe.

This is an American OHV V8 (did you expect anything else from SME?) 5.3L NA beast weighing in at a hefty 3200 lbs.

It makes it's way around the Automation Airfield Test Track in only 1:23.44.

My first decently fast car - the Blackrock Motor Works - Kestrel S (Possibly an R version?)

Normally aspirated v8 for the win!
This is a road car by all measures, many thanks
