And see naming guidelines:

C50 First car: C50_HighOctaneL_01
C50 Second car: C50_HighOctaneL_02
C60 First car: C60_HighOctaneL_01
C60 Second car: C60_HighOctaneL_02

Concerning mods, in the past when someone had a body that I couldn't locate, I ask them to zip me the chassis folder (eg "\583161520_90sMRSmallCorvette"), which they did.
But Vanilla is always preferred, because mods can cause a lot of work.

Also no need to rush this time, the competition is just slowly beginning and there isn't even a race date yet.

No worries, I'm happy to run the Vanilla bodies, I just have to remember which ones they are,

@HighOctaneLove If you're running the steam version, start via the options menu, and enter options. There is a check box at the bottom that says "Enable Steam Mods." deselect this box, and only vanilla content will be shown and usable.

Thanks, I'll do that; it'll save me any hassles,

I prefer to receive vanilla cars because they will always work. This just does not not mean I rule out modded chassis, but you may have to help me get them run.

@Vri404 A small heads up. In the first round you were at a serious disadvantage because you did not use any quality options (that's also why you were so much under the budget limit). A key to this challenge is to look where you can save money in certain parts, and invest in other parts. But cars that are way below the $ limit do not have much of a chance.

My main issue was I just wanted to make some cars. Now I'm struggling to get under budget, as you've changed what you've used for the cost, and that makes it really hard for me to get something working. Made 3 test vehicles and couldn't get anywhere near the budget (I was miles over, by around 20-30k) mainly in the engine to get over 50 engine reliability.

But the budget was increased, not decreased (it used to be 40,000$)

Ok, quick question. Is there a turbo size limiter or something in automation, cause I'm stuck with teeny units that I can't get to go any bigger. Which is strange, cause I clearly remember boosting a 2 liter i4 well into 700+hp regions, and can't do anything on a 1.6 v8

Yeah, I think there's one based on bore/stroke size (hence two engines of identical displacement, yet differing cylinder counts, can't match one another when turbo'd).

I figure that's my good deed for the day to offset the awful that's currently being built.

This is a very cool challenge, I must say. It's either "get out of your comfy 10+ l/100km zone" or "well, 450+hp is enough, isn't it?". Got carried away, got just about 600hp and then noticed the 35l/100km consumption :D

As I wrote, calculate ~1 second extra lap time per pit stop. N/As will usually finish with 1-2 stops, Turbo 3-5 stops.
0 stops may also be possible, but it would mean <10L/100km fuel consumptuion and >1000kg car weight. Watch the lap times, such a car will most likely be crap :)

I only say so much. Even the most insane fuel guzzler does not lose more than 2 to 4 seconds per lap. So if anyone wants to win with low fuel consumption it must be a fast laptime. I hope it's possible.

Re: AVUS Grosser Preis von Berlin 91 (1000km) TAKING SUBMISS

A remark to the entries so far. Make sure wether you really want to use aero setttings like on a "normal" track. Grip is only good for the two turns, most of the track is driven flat out. This is not a normal track but the crazy Avus, where Bernd Rosemeyer drove 400 km/h in 1938.

Have a look at last year's top speeds (with smaller engines), to see how much your entry is competitive. Anything below 300 km/h is only good for a low mid field finish.

Small Fuel Tank is not gonna be in my favour for this series. Do have over 8km/L fuel economy for my C60.

The Matte Menace is ready.

Also, is it this one:

Or This one:

for the calculation of cost?

8L was not gonna cut it anyways, unless you can do magic. Lap time is first priority, then fuel consumption.

Also tank size is not dependant on fuel consumption, but car weight (weight/10). So heavier cars get a small advantage, though it's probably payed for in more consumption.
Small cars with high fuel consumption get the most pit stops, but are faster.
