Presenting the 1984 Bogliq Bastion Group A!!!

Due to the egalitarian nature of Bogliq Automotive, the homologation version of Bastion is not limited by production numbers but rather the customers wallet. Unfortunately no-one was very rich in Moldova in 1984 so the required units to homologate this model were sold to the Moldovan border patrol at cost. In an entirely unrelated co-incidence, 1984 was a terrible year for law enforcement, with defection rates soaring and an increased number of officers injured in single car accidents. :geek:  :geek:

Rennen is entering with their newest generation of the Angelus. The specific model is a special homologation version, named the Angelus GAR, or Group A Racer.

Rennen has been in motorsport for years; our designs reflect our engineering in racing. With a high-revving 2.8 liter straight-6 engine producing 227 HP, the Angelus does not fail in power nor fun. With the latest high-tech technology in engine design, suspension tuning, and chassis tuning, the 4-door supercar has begun to rise.

Re: Homologation 1984 Group Automation [SUBMISSIONS]

Also competing with the Rennen Angelus in the large 4-door category is the Suzume Kyoto. The motor is the product of collaboration between Suzume and Ardents' engineering departments, as Suzume had not yet developed a V8 by the early 80's, having concentrated heavily on their Ishi-series sixes. The resulting special-edition motor was technically an Antares-series, as the particular line had long served as a test bed for technology for the venerable American company. But the AD8-SSDC showed more Ardent frugality than Suzume thrill. As such, the 2.8 liter V8 was outclassed by Rennen, putting out only 197 horsepower.

This motor found its way into a special trim of the Kyoto, the GS-RX. Though the intent was homologation, Suzume didn't stop at the minimum production numbers, as they viewed this trim more as a special edition production model. As such, 8000 GS-RX'es were built for the 1984 model year alone. No automatic version was available*, but about half of the 3000 GS-RX units sent to the US were built with the "Power Preferred Group" option package, which added air conditioning, cruise control, and power lock and windows.

*Refers only to the GS-RX trim. The IA6-A powered GS trim came standard with a 3-speed auto, which was also optional on the base G trim.

Don't worry Vic, my small body has a luxury interior and excellent stereo to meet weight requirements!

But when I looked at the rules a smaller medium body was the only ones that made sense for the engine capacity (at least to an Aussie like me :D)!!!

Please be sure to inspect your cars prior to sending them out. LUA errors are automatically rejected.

This is Default + Community Mod Pack only. Please avoid using other parts, I am not installing other mods at this time. That would be unfair to those who have already entered following the rules. I will consider those mods for the next competition.

Then you're most certainly going to beat me, at least in the comfort and prestige aspects. :D

Re: Homologation 1984 Group Automation [SUBMISSIONS]

Quick question, I assume these are supposed to be rallying vehicles? Because if offroad is rated highly... let's just say simulating Pikes Peak will be tricky.

However, that being said, if you wish to alter the sportiness gradients of the segments to reflect the pre-2012 course, please feel free to do so.

The VPNL - MB Group A

A RWD car fitted with a 2799cc 6 cilinder engine and a big rear wing to show this isn't the normal version of the MB.

Excellent question Strop.

If these were the full blown race car I would consider doing so. However these are the production version of those cars, so they will be subjected to more of a road review. Their intended audience using them primarily on the street. The minimum Off-Road represents that the production car is merely capable of handling the dirt with some level of dignity.

I just wanted to reward anyone who put effort into getting the Off-road stat up beyond the minimum, as both the Sportiness and Off-road stat tend to fight one another.

As a hint, I plan to do an event after this one is concluded which will be the "Race Spec 1984 Group Automation" Priority slots would be held for anyone who entered the Homologation event. But by simply being a time attack event, I would allow greater than 25 entries. But details on that are for later, for now, let the production cars flow!

11/25 passed inspection, with 1 pending revision
