Re: Random Glitch Racing. Updated because logic

Let's make a constructive post pointing out the issues currently there.

VosNox wrote:Because all you care about is speed, you will use stock tires and brakes, steel rims, and non race-suspension.

-The steel rims part is quite clear, the other two aren't. What do you consider stock tires and brakes, or non race-suspension?

VosNox wrote:Because you think it looks cooler, I will allow you to modify the ride height.

-What are the limitations for the other suspension settings?

VosNox wrote:Because you have zero mechanical skill, you cannot modify the gearbox, beyond what you would assume the vehicle you are building would come with as standard.

-Extremely unclear and subject to interpretation.

VosNox wrote:Because you don't know how weight works, it will come with standard internals, safety equipment, a radio, and the maximum number of seats

-So, standard interior, max number of seat, and the safety equipment and entertainment of my choice?

VosNox wrote:Because you have no taste, you will be forced to bolt on an aftermarket, and lets face it, quite gaudy, hood scoop and rear wing. No, you may not modify them to increase your aerodynamics. If you should choose to do so, I will allow an ugly attempt at a body kit as well. If you want to slap on some aftermarket rims, be my guest.

So can we or can't we have downforce?

VosNox wrote:*Alright you irritating little shits. Due to the fact that the random idea was shot to hell, I've revised the competition. Everything before hand stands. Let's do this instead. You'll have four options.*

Seriously?

VosNox wrote:The date must be before 1985.
A huge monster V8 muscle car with a three speed RWD gearbox.
A tiny little Japanese 4-banger with a 5-speed and FWD gearbox.
A jeep-like thing with an i4 and 5-speed AWD gearbox
A European saloon with an i6 and 4 speed automatic gearbox.

As these are your starting vehicles, they will be shit:
The frame and body panels must be made of some kind of metal.
HP must not exceed 150.
No turbocharging
No racing intakes or exhausts.

Starting a new set of rules or something? Starting to get confusing IMHO.

VosNox wrote:Quality set to -15

To everything? Because if that's on everything, it will be hard to even get the engine to run.

VosNox wrote:The winner of the race receives an additional $5,000 to modify their vehicle for the next race.
2nd place gets $2,500
3rd gets $500

Very obvious problem here. You are adding a far from insignificant amount of money to the budget of the fastest/best car in the pack. Therefore, he will probably win even more in the next race, letting him make his car even faster, and the cycle will continue until, like you said, you get bored.

Overall, I seriously recommend you re-read this: viewtopic.php?f=39&t=5782

I also hope you won't call me a "little shit" like you did to the last people who gave you constructive comments.

Have a nice day.

Built a cringe-worthy sedan made by my alternate Kazakh company Agro, once in a partnership with Rado to import cheap hatchbacks to the US in 1980.
Now time to submit it.
