Will there be any pre-race tests as there have been for the BRC 1945?

On the rules is stated that the engine must be Naturally Aspirated.
You can do the engine you want, but you MUST use the engine CL4.3-1410 family. Do your own variant ;)

When I load the car I don't get any front grille or any other cooling fixture whatsoever.

Do you have NormanVauxhall's grilles+vents installed? That seems the most likely reason for it not working.

The biggest issue I have with some of those grilles/vents is once I go to place it the game slows to a crawl, well a crawl for what I am used to, if those grilles are needed and are not in the Community Mod pack I think I will just sit this one out.

Those grilles are the base grilles/vents. Only the finishing is different (chrome or plastic).
However, this grilles/vents will be available in the next modpack.

I don't blame you if you don't want to partecipate ;)

Some grilles in the modpack aren't very well made and have a very high poly/triangle count.

Jack plans on making a new version w/o those in.

Especially since the creator of those vents/grilles said they gave significantly more cooling than similarly size grilles/vents.

Oh dont get me wrong!! I WANT to participate but with my PC acting up it I wont be able to :( I have a feeling my GPU is dead/dying (which may account for the random slowdowns and crashes in games/programs, mostly device disconnects), may have finally cooked it to death, its been surviving on scrap case fans since the original fans burned themselves out but I think the damage was done at that point and it has just been on its last legs. There is a Zotac GTX 780 OC for sale near me for a good price, going to see if I can get it tonight and install it, I MIGHT be able to get a car to you by then if the card plays nice with my system.

Re: ZAP! TROPHY 1988 - BROBOT RACES

Mmm, looking at the car we can use it has no cooling whatsoever. It doesn't even have headlights. I installed the modpack btw.

Ok, I have tried to get this to work 3 times. Every time I load the vehicle for the first time after installing the grills and vents addons I still get an error messages about a missing headlight mesh 02black. I verified my installation files by steam before adding the new grills and vents so the base game should be ok. I think you need to give us more fixtures in order to get this car to work.

Re: ZAP! TROPHY 1988 - BROBOT RACES

The car used also the community modpack for the headlight (i forgot to mention it).
That's why you get that LUA error.

I hope this won't be a problem. If it is, i'll link the headlight mod here.viewtopic.php?f=38&t=5338

I think there is even more missing. Get another .LUA error again. This time about some chrome part. Perhaps better to download the whole community pack. I would be happy with the community pack installed if it were not for the broken small 1940s car though.

Re: ZAP! TROPHY 1988 - BROBOT RACES

Btw I think I have found a bug in the program. If you make a new variant out for your engine (not by cloning the old variant, but a fresh new one), the displacement is suddenly much higher. If you then just reduce you variant displacement bore by one tick and return it to the max it will be within the original displacement confines. It makes it very easy for people to cheat in this assignment I think. Because I initially made almost a 2L engine that way before I found out, giving me significantly more HP. Maybe you should specify the max displacement limit also in the mission limits NormanVauxhall?
