I think it's not great to purposefully make use of an exploit, just as I thought when you took advantage of the many wings exploit.

Re: BRC - Out of the Steam - 1945 [BUILD]

As far as I know, there are some weight exploits to be used: morphing the car in such a way that it assumes its smalles shape possible, using -15 quality for the chassis and also basic safety with -15 quality sometimes is lighter than no safety. I can only assume strop is using one of these, known, exploits, if he isn't, I would suggest he should do his beta-tester duties and notify about the bug in the correct places.

Is it possible to play this once the standalone update comes up? or will it only work with the steam version? i'm kind of reluctant to switch to the steam version.

The steam version changes the way cars are saved. Before you would have 1 file for the car and 1 for the engine. Now (with steam) you have 2 for the body and 2 for the engine. Also there is no way to port the old saves to the current version (steam). So to make it cleat if you want to participate you need the steam version.

Not necessarily, Hellboy. This same update will come to the standard launcher, eventually. Once that happens, yes, Darkjedi, you'll be able to take part, but I'm not sure if it'll happen before the deadline.

About the file renaming. The format is as follows "<player name>-<Cars>-<Models>.lua" but should i change only the player name or all fields?

Loving this challenge though, It's so hard to find a good balance.

Look in the "My Games" folder for Automation, there are 4 files you need to search for as well.

I also consider it to be bad sportsmanship, but... it's not explicitly forbidden by the rules.
