AMW will provide turbocharged engines for all race teams who want not only power, but also accessability.

Re: AGT Championship

Just a small reminder ladies and gents, the limit for BHP is 750 flat. Please make that when you send you engines in that on the engines sandbox screen it says 750.0 or less.

Is anyone willing to release the power figures for their engines in advance?

Re: AGT Championship

Just out of curiosity, those who are making 4.0L NA engines....are you actually getting anywhere close to 750bhp? I can only manage around 600bhp on NA.

Re: AGT Championship

Just food for thought (and for the future), most sanctioning bodies I'm aware of do not allow NA and turbo engines of the same displacement to run against each other. The turbo always has a displacement handicap. In the SCCA, this value is usually around a 40% displacement reduction. Example: STS class Solo 2 has a maximum displacement of 3.1L N/A or 1.8L turbo (and certain hi-po turbos aren't even allowed in that class, and are relegated to STX class)

Re: AGT Championship

Well, I could enter the challenge, however, I have absoluely no idea on how should I tune my engine. Will the races be on tight, bumpy tracks or fast ones with long straights? Will the cars be RWD only, or AWD will be allowed? These sort of questions are crucial when developing an engine for a car.

OK, SME will be entering both a Turbo and an N/A engine for the competition.

Re: AGT Championship

I have some questions:

Is the catalytic converter mandatory ?

Is engine cost=material costs+service costs ?

Is the $75000 figure the budget for just ONE engine ?

Also, I support a restricted displacement for turbo engines.

Re: AGT Championship

I'd like to post an engine, but the same displacement between turbo and N/A engine made me skeptical about the fairness between engines competition.

I support a restricted displacement for turbo engines too or a lower maximum power limit around 550 hp.

Catalytic converter is not needed. I do not have one on either of my engines.

The Engine cost is 3 times material costs + service costs and then rounded up to the nearest thousand.(Example: MC $5386.69 X 3 + SC $7481.15 = (Rounded up to the nearest thousand) $24000

$75000 is the maximum an engine will be, although it is highly doubtful there will be an engine that costs over $50000

Do not worry about displacement unfairness. Read below. :)

Re: AGT Championship

Perfect! Ardent Motors will enter a car in each class, and will sign a contract with ONE engine provider (no splitting between manufacturers for the turbo and NA version. All or nothing for me!)

Re: AGT Championship

A word of warning to everybody doing an engine out there!

Due to a glitch in the game, 1.37bar equals to 20.14psi instead of 19.87psi! So the limit actually is 1.36bar.

Yep! I had to resubmit mine due to this "issue" as 20psi should equal 1.378bar. 1.37bar should have been acceptable. No worries though...hahaha
