Great. I can't use the open beta so now I have to download the normal version, and I can't right now.

I just wondered if anybody knows how I can calculate economy? As I assume the mpg(UK) mentioned on the car overview screen isnt for 'racing speeds' otherwise it'd be a 2 stop race!

Meet the revolution in motoring history. The Bit Motors 1976 Snuggles.
This 500 kg beast is rocketed along by it's 80hp, 550cc 4 cylinder engine.
reaching speeds of up to (almost) 160kph.

get ready to see some high-medium speed overtaking... because this car will most likely be overtaken multiple times per lap. But look damn good doing it.

That moment when you have been testing for 2 days with the strange idea in the back of your mind that the tires only were allowed to be 165 wide. Just knocked about 10 seconds of my time by reading the rules :P

Sorry - I wish I could make it simpler than that, but there's no real way to.

...random question: how much engine reliability is everyone running? Given that this is a single, very long race, I've been aiming for 45.

I will post a diagram showing the finishing chance over time for various reliabilites, soon.

Re: BRC QuER - Hockenheim 1000 km 1976 [OPEN]

Here is the first promo picture of the entrant from Erin's race division, ErinSport:

Image

Inspired by Group 4 and 5 legends such as the BMW 3.5 CSL, Zakspeed Capri, Lancia Beta Montecarlo and so on. Wide body kit, big spoiler and a massive engine; meet the ErinSport Civera Silhouette. It's like the normal one, but a bit more RaceCar™.

A full press release of the official livery will be coming in the next week or so.

Also, #99 is mine ;)

If I didn't make a mistake, this is how the finishing chances are:

Image

It shows full throttle time for engine reliabilities 5-50, so for the 1000 km race you probably need to look at 4,5-5 hours.

Hey, Redhawk Performance Group is currently testing a very similar basic body to what ErinSport is testing...
American Eagle Automotive (AEA) - ID 1948072
Redhawk Performance Group (RPG) - ID 1955073
The performance division of AEA. (same thread as AEA)
