Mmph - after that last race, I'm changing my strategy as well. So many pit stops.... >_<

I was thinking that as well, but then I look at my tyre wear and pondering whether it is just bad luck with the weather, cause I think I need two pitstops to not drive around with the cord showing through my tires :?

Will be updated soon... ish... perhaps... hopefully

The car review will be delayed. The video recording turned out to be very poor quality that last recording. So it needs to be redone.

The problem that caused the poor recording has been fixed.

By the way... when it comes to FWD cars. Some of my tests have been quite shocking. They seem to lack outright speed but the handling is second to none.

And to think Walter Röhrl said with FWD every corner looks like an accident!

I made a FWD car that gets a low speed cornering of 1.18 and a high speed cornering of 1.18. Its around 8 seconds faster then my current car but it is not very fast in terms of top speed.

By the way, my toying with the idea of 1976 cars has led to the demise of my I6 racing engines. They just cant keep up with the power requirements assuming that 1976 has a .3hp/kg ratio. The I6 really cant keep up even at .25hp/kg.

Well, Der Bayer said to expect something VERY different for the next season, so make no assumptions!

This here is a behaviour unique to Automation for as long as we've seen car and track simulation. They're capable of pulling ridiculous amounts of corner G, and I don't know whether the simulation still covers issues with understeer with power.

No, the simulation only considers static cornering without any power input. I am looking into changing the "optimal" steering behavior lines according to the power distribution to take this into account somewhat - so that you need to make an FWD car less understeering to have optimal tameness, while you need to make a RWD car more understeering to be tame.

Hi guys! I'm getting issues with the BRC tool again... anyone else?

Der Bayer,

For strategy purposes, can i use another car to set the strategy only? Is that ok?

I like this idea very much. Maybe calculate steering behavior with power input just sufficient to maintain speed?

(Part of me wants multiple graphs - full power, constant-speed power, no power, full brakes - but the calculations take long enough as it is.)

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [RACE 4 P&Q]

Races will happen roughly every 2 weeks. I think that schedule works well for everyone in the streaming team, and makes the race not feel super rushed.

Yeah I cannot make the new version until tomorrow anyway. So deadline for setup adjustments is on Thursday, 3 pm GMT.
