Der Bayer wrote:Before you all waste a lot of time: rules for next season will change drastically. Turbos must be somewhat competitive and this cannot be achieved with a power-to-weight ratio limit. I am already running a few prototypes based on a revised ruleset. Cars/engines will be a bit more racey in the future, too.

So, 305 tires? :D

This should be an interesting way to make Drew Motor Vehicles' debut onto the race track. Any idea as to what year specifically the next one will be? I wanna be sure i'm prepared (I would be racing alongside you lot right now had I started my project just a day earlier).

The year will most likely be 1976.

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [RACE 3 P&Q]

That's exactly the cut-off for the current mid-engine bodies. We could keep them with 1975.
At the same time, I would prefer 1977 because then you have a nice 1955-1966-1977 theme.

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [RACE 3 P&Q]

I like 76-77 because there is only 1 mid engine body and everything else is Front-engine.... would be very interesting to see people making the Front-engines as good as the mid-engine car (its heavy), as we have seen from pyrlix this season....
I goofed, I keep thinking front-engine = FWD.... there are a few good front-engined RWD available in '76, but still loving that mid-engine body. :)

Wellm, you see I really want to use the (heavy) Pantera body. I am not really a friend of the other bodies.

Not sexy enough.

Interesting race analysis: 55th in top speed, 44th in best lap, 27th at the end. I think rain is OK after all :)

I will wait for next strategy if there will be new brilliant sheet by Packbat ;)

Really gotta hand it to Pyrlix. Don't know how you tuned your car, but that thing's going places. And you inspired the folks at DMV to build more Front Drivers. I'll be rooting for you.

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [RACE 4 P&Q]

I'm still going to stay with my two stops, I think for me with a fast car, it takes me out of the train if I get stuck back for whatever reason. Plus it guzzles fuel. I think I will just try to play it as safe as possible. To offset my cars actual safety.

As for Pyrlix, wow! So fast at this track, I think definitely it is your race to lose. I think with Marcus and Packbat in 7th and 8th, this one may prove fruitful for you.

Congrats on the third mer_at! It may well be 2nd after the first lap XD

Good one Skyline!

He went through the results really fast, so not gonna get a chance to catch them all like last time. Here are the actual raceresults, however, for Knockhill on Saturday.
