RocketplaneRacing wrote:Comparing my fuel consumption at Silverstone in the wet to practice, I'm 75% sure that I can get away with no stops in the wet at Knockhill. However, if I wanted to change tires during an emergency fuel stop, how would I go about that? Could I put my regular stop at 101% race distance and set the replace stop to within, say, 50% of scheduled stop? In that case would I take the fuel I need and change tires as necessary.

By the same token, I would only be taking maybe 5-8kg of fuel, so that would be a 4s stop, much lower than the 10-15s for tires...

It seems the BRC tool won't let me go over 100% race distance. (Who'd have thunk?) I can go into the .lua file and edit the race percentage by hand if that works.

You can set it to 100%, the driver won't pit in the last lap.

Btw. i think it would be nice to hide all entries after they dropped out of the race.
So the grid list wouldn't have to scroll over 20 dropouts during the race. ;)

And a CSV exporter would be nice to. So we could study our laptimes afterwards. (Maybe in Brobot 3.0?) ;)

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [RACE 3 P&Q]

The csv exporter already spits out the race statistics. It is not a big problem to add laptimes to the list.

I want to keep the dropped out cars in the list. Just in case someone tunes in a bit too late and does not find his car.

Keeping the dropped also lets us know how long it takes nerd to catch up to the DNFs. :)

I also would be happy for Nerd to get a pass to update his car. In the interest of competition. Even Manor got the Merc engines!

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [RACE 3 P&Q]

Just take his car, and change the engine to Power-Weight Ratio conformity (and maybe widen to 215s) - that would make him SOMEWHAT fast.

He's 100 HP short to get even close to 0.25; you'd have to change the p/w conformity significantly.

I wonder who would complain first if I upgraded his car and he crashes into somebody because he is suddenly somewhat competitive. ;)

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [RACE 3 P&Q]

I'd be okay with nerd resubmitting, but I don't feel wholly comfortable with just upgrading engine power to competitiveness.
