In this website, this user created a Solidworks tutorial for the rims.

It can be useful to understand the basic concepts, or try to model in SW and export into 3ds max (in *.obj for example).

Only I need how can I set in 3ds max the rim settings and export into the game.

And what features are needed to design a rim? (noob asking) I mean, can we just make a 3d model of a rim? do we need to give any attention on certain details in the designing process?

IDK if it's that good idea really to export from Solidworks.

Last time I tried going from CAD to 3DS max (with CATIA V5), using IGES files IIRC, the model ended up being all triangles, with some very ugly radiuses.

Is from the same company (Dassault Systèmes), but solidworks is for solid objects, and Catia for surfaces.

I tried SW (solidworks), and it works well.

I've designed some rims in solidworks as an experiment...how can i export them to the game to see if it works?
